syngo CT VB10 Software Update - CARE Dose 4D- Dual Topogram Job Aid

This pdf explains how to adjust the ref. mAs values to reduce the dose, when migrating protocols with dual topogram from one software version to another version.

Topogram magnification effects * Applies to protocols with preferred topogram direction AP. In protocols with organ are corrected based on the patient position information of the LAT* topogram. characteristic Brain, Neck, Spine or Osteo, the preferred topogram direction is LAT. In 4 this case, the WED calculation is based on the LAT* topogram and the AP/PA topogram Job aid effective date: 02 FEB 2021 | HOOD05162003162880 is used only for geometric correction of patient position. Transfer of dual topogram protocols Therefore the migration of protocols from the previous SOMARIS 7 VAxy version to VA VB any VBxy version requires an adaption of the Q. ref. mAs values in the following cases: 1. Transfer of all protocols with dual topogram (AP + LAT) → reduce Q. ref. mAs by 30% Please note: This does not apply to VA62. The new Dual Topogram behavior is already implemented in VA62. Transfer of LAT topogram protocols 2. Transfer of protocols with a single LAT topogram → reduce Q. ref. mAs by 15% VA VB 3. Transfer of cardio protocols with AP topograms → reduce Q. ref. mAs by 15% Please note: The above-mentioned Q. ref. mAs adaptations serve as a first guideline Transfer of cardio protocols with AP only. Please ensure that all dose relevant parameters (protocol and configuration) are topogram carefully finetuned so that individual image quality needs are fulfilled.
