ACUSON Juniper™ Ultrasound System eSieScan™ Workflow Protocols Online Training VB10 | 1.5 Software Welcome to the ACUSON Juniper ultrasound system eSieScan protocols. In this training we will review the eSieScan workflow and configuration. The course objectives are listed below. Review eSieScan Protocol Workflow 1 Understand the Steps to Configure eSieScan Protocol 2 Welcome Audio Script: Welcome to the ACUSON Juniper ultrasound system eSieScan protocols online training. In this training you will review the eSieScan workflow protocols and some high-level configuration. The course objectives are listed below. ? Overview of eSieScan Workflow Protocols A protocol is a predefined checklist that guides you through a clinical workflow. This predefine checklist includes automated imaging changes, automated text, and body markers, as well as automated measurements. The benefits for using a protocol include guiding new users through an exam, standardizing exams, and providing consistency among groups of different users. A reduction in keystrokes is another benefit to using a protocol as functions and modes are automatically activated. eSieScan protocols are flexible when needed. They can be paused at any point during an exam to obtain additional images or measurements outside of the protocol. This is especially helpful when pathology is present. Select Next to continue. You may also activate a protocol by selecting the eSieScan key on the Touch Screen. After the protocol control is selected from the Touch Screen, all programmed protocols will be shown on the Touch Screen. Select the desired protocol from the options available to activate. When a protocol is activated the first few will launch. The view names display on the Touch Screen and in the menu panel located on the left side of the imaging screen. The active view is highlighted in blue on the Touch Screen and on the image screen menu panel. On the image screen menu panel icons to the right of the view represent imaging modes in the presence of text. Measurements are indicated below the selected view. After the selected view is acquired, a checkmark is placed on the bottom right of the view name on the Touch Screen. On the imaging panel this view will be displayed in light grey. When using an automatic protocol, the system will automatically activate the next view after the current view was acquired. When using a manual protocol, you may activate any view by selecting it from the Touch Screen or by rotating the Select control on the Control Panel. As previously discussed, you may manually advance the protocol by rotating the Select key on the Control Panel. If the selected view includes a measurement, you need to select Caliper to activate the measurement. If a configured measurement is not obtained, the system will not automatically advance to the next view. Use the select control to manually advance. This area contains additional selections that may be useful when operating a protocol. The Protocols key allows the user to switch between different protocols. The Progression key allows the user to switch between automatic and manual progression types while within a protocol. The Copy and Rename View keys allow the user to modify the protocol while using the protocol. The Delete View key allows the user to delete the entire view. The Pause Protocol key allows the user to pause the protocol and take additional images. This may be helpful in times when you encounter pathology or need additional measurements. Select the End Protocol key to end the protocol. Select Next to continue. ? eSieScan Workflow Configuration Video The video file name is located below: 2.esiescan.protocols.configuration.mp4 Vtt file name: 2.esiescan.protocols.configuration.vtt The Audio Script is located below: A protocol may be created or modified in the system configuration menu under the eSieScan section. To add a new protocol, simply select Add Protocol. This area allows the initial customization of the menu. Enter a name for your protocol in the Protocol Name field. The Progression selection allows you to choose whether the protocol will default to progress Automatically or Manually. Remember that the progression may be altered within the protocol during the exam. When the exit protocol field is selected, the protocol will automatically end when all views have been completed. If left unselected, you will remain within the protocol for additional image captures. The End Protocol Behavior selection controls the behavior of the system when the protocol has ended. Choose whether to remain in acquisition mode, enter the report, or enter the review mode. To add a view to your protocol, select Add View. To copy an existing view, select Copy. To delete a view, select Delete. Use the arrows to change the sequence of a view or to change the sequence of the protocols. The area outlined in Orange allows you to customize your view. Enter a name for your new view in the View Name field. The view name appears on the Touch Screen and in the menu panel located on the left side of the imaging screen when a protocol is activated. Mode Selection allows you to select the desired imaging mode for the view. For example, if color is selected, the color Doppler mode will automatically be activated when the view is selected. In this example the 2D, color, and Doppler modes are selected. When color is selected, you may select the color type. You may also designate whether Dual mode or Split mode is activated. You may add up to three measurements per view. Select the appropriate label, then select the measurement application, Imaging Mode, and Package or Group. Select the desired measurement label and its corresponding modifier and segment. Add additional measurements by using the Label tabs at the top of the screen. Enter any text to be displayed on the image here. Then select the text location. Select a Body Marker if desired. You may also adjust the Transducer Marker Location, and orientation here. You may Export or Import protocols using this area. Protocols may be exported and imported using a USB device. After selecting either Import or Export, select the desired protocols, then select the location, then select export protocol. Select Next to continue. ? Course Review Congratulations.
