Restart Exam 8 To restart an exam choose the Patient on the Control Panel as previously described. From the touch screen choose the Browser, enter a search period, and select the desired exam then Restart from the browser menu. The Patient Registration page allows you to select the Edit Patient Data shown here highlighted in blue. Re-enter / edit the required information on the patient demographics form save the changes by choosing OK in the bottom left. Select the number eight to learn about restarting a patient exam. Edit Patient Data 7 Edit Patient Data 7 During an active you can edit the patient data. Please choose the Patient key on the control panel framed in orange to advance and review the Patient Registration page. Patient Registration Worklist 6 Register a patient using a Worklist server: Begin with the Patient tab on the touch screen Next choose Worklist on the touch screen or image screen Then choose a scheduled study from the Worklist or search for a specific patient / study by name, or patient ID Select the Transducer, Exam and Protocol (if necessary) You will then see an OK prompt to begin real-time imaging Patient Registration Manual 5 You can manually enter the patient information. Then choose the transducer, exam, and protocol (if desired), and OK to begin real-time imaging. Please select the number six to review patient registration using the MWL. Patient Registration Starting an Exam 4 There are two way to complete patient registration: Manual entry Modality Worklist (MWL) Please select the Patient key that is framed in orange to learn about patient registration. 3 Within this menu you can change the following: Institution name under “Organization” Language, date, and time under “Regional Settings” Choose the number four to learn more about beginning an exam. Patient Registration Configuration 2 Then select the General 1 tab that is framed in orange from the touch screen. Display Patient Banner and Image Parameters 8 You can remove the patient name displayed for a particular image or several images by selecting the Hide Patient key on the left side of the Touch Screen. Choose Hide Patient key again to re-display the patient banner. To hide the imaging parameters during an exam, select the Image Param key on the left side of the Touch Screen. Choose once more to re-display the imaging parameters. Configure Patient Banner and Image Parameters 7 The imaging screen displays the Patient Banner and the imaging parameters. Customize banner display options for all exams in the Configuration Menu under General 2. From the Touch Screen, choosing the eSieScan tab will launch available protocol selections. eSieScan Protocol - Touch Screen 6 eSieScan Protocol - Patient Registration During Patient Registration, choose the desired protocol from the drop-down menu on the Patient Registration screen. The ACUSON Juniper system automatically activates the first view of the protocol once the live scanning screen initiates. 5 Protocols (eSieScan™ Workflow Protocols) 4 Protocols (eSieScan™ workflow protocols) can be performed in two different ways: During Patient Registration Touch Screen Note : This presentation uses the term “protocols” to refer to the eSieScan workflow protocols displayed as eSieScan on the ACUSON Juniper system. Exam Selection - Touch Screen 3 The second workflow option is through the Touch Screen: Activate a transducer from the top left of the Touch Screen Then you can choose the transducer-specific exam from the available options displayed on the Touch Screen The active exam is displayed in blue Workflow protocols can be chosen from Exam screen: Choose the Transducer and the study type from the Exam drop-down menu Next select a Protocol You will be prompted to choose OK to begin real-time imaging Next, choose the number three to review workflow protocols from the touch screen. Workflow Protocols - Patient Registration 2 Workflow Selections Workflow selections includes the selection of the transducer, exam-type and protocol. Initiate the Workflow selection from the Exam screen or the Touch Screen. Select the numbered steps below to learn more about producing customized exam presets. Next choose the User-Defined Exam that you wish to delete and select Delete. Deleting a User-Defined Exam (Continued) 6 Deleting a User-Defined Exam A User-Defined Exam cannot be deleted while the exam is active. To delete a User-Defined Exam preset: Select any other preset to begin Then select the desired transducer tab and select the Edit key from the right side of the touch screen Please select Edit outlined in orange to review the next steps to delete a User-Defined preset. 5 Renaming a User-Defined Exam 4 To rename the selected exam: Choose the desired User-Defined Exam Replace the information in the Name field and select Rename To change the default exam for the selected transducer, select the desired exam and then select Set Default Tip - Use the arrows to adjust the display position of the exam types on the touch screen Overwriting a User-Defined Exam 3 To overwrite a User-Defined Exam preset: Choose the desired User-Defined Exam and select Overwrite There will be a Yes or No prompt to confirm To edit a User-Defined Exam preset: Choose the User-Defined Exam preset you want to edit Next, adjust all the parameters Finally choose the Edit key located on the right side of the Touch Screen Edit a User-Defined Exam 2 Creating a User-Defined Exam To create a User-Defined Exam preset: Choose the transducer and exam from the Touch Screen Add Exam Enter a name for the exam and select Create 1 Review Functions Select the numbered steps below to learn how to identify the review functions. 1 1 1 2 2 2 3 3 3 4 4 4 5 5 5 6 6 6 7 7 7 8 8 8 ? Export: No Audio To export a study, choose the media: Compact Disk - Recordable (CD-R), Digital Versatile Disk (DVD) or Universal Serial Bus (USB). Insert the media CD-R / DVD or USB: Select the patient name from the Patient Browser and then Export Choose the export format Select each marker for more information on the export menu. Markers: 1. CD/DVD or USB Select the export destination. CD-R or DVD or USB 2. DICOM or TIFF / AVI Select the export format 8. Import: No Audio To import a study from a CD-R / DVD or USB: Insert the media source CD-R / DVD or USB Select the media source from the Patient Browser menu Choose the patient name / study and select Import Select each marker for mor information about the import menu. Markers: 1. Source Media Select the Source Media from the Patient Browser. 2. Import From Source Media Import the selected studies from the Source Media. Import - USB or CD-R/DVD 8 To import a study from a CD-R / DVD or USB: Insert the media source CD-R / DVD or USB Select the media source from the Patient Browser menu Choose the patient name / study and select Import Select each marker for mor information about the import menu. Source Media Select the Source Media from the Patient Browser. Import From Source Media Import the selected studies from the Source Media. Export - USB or CD-R/DVD 7 To export a study, choose the media: Compact Disk - Recordable (CD-R), Digital Versatile Disk (DVD) or Universal Serial Bus (USB). Insert the media CD-R / DVD or USB: Select the patient name from the Patient Browser and then Export Choose the export format type Select each marker for more information on the export menu. Select the Export Format Choose the export format type: Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) Tag Image File Format (TIFF) Audio Video Interleaved (AVI) Select the Export Destination From the Review screen you can choose individual images from the thumbnails or select all. Cancel individual image choices by clicking on the image once more. After you have the desired set of images, choose Teaching File from the Touch Screen. Name the New Teaching File or choose from an existing file and Append to the previous Teaching File. Teaching File 6 Slide Show Review From Review, choose the image thumbnail and to cancel the selection, select the image again. Then choose Slide Show to view the selected (or all of the images) one after the other in a slide show format. Select the marker for more information on configuring Slide Show preferences. 5 System Configuration Slide Show preferences may be modified under System Configuration / Utility. Viewing Clips Touch Screen 4 When viewing a clip, use play / pause options to control clip function. Rotate Cine Frame to review the clip frame by frame and rotate Cine Speed to select the desired speed. Select Save to finalize changes. Select each marker for more information. To activate the review mode for a saved study, s elect Review key on the control panel and double click the desired patient study from the patient browser. You can view, print, export, or delete images as well as create a teaching file from the Review function. Restore 1: No Audio Restore Presets To retrieve saved settings from a USB storage device, first insert the external storage device into the USB port. Restore Menu You will be prompted with an OK that confirms completion then select close. The system will display a message that power must be cycled to the system for completion of the operation. Select the OK prompt to restart the ultrasound system. Note - The system will perform two reboots during Restore. The first reboot uploads and the second reboot resumes normal operation. Restore Presets (Continued) 6 Restore Presets To retrieve saved settings from a USB storage device, first insert the external storage device into the USB port. From within the service menu, choose Restore and the select the USB from the Destination list. Check the box next to each file type and then click Restore from the bottom of the menu. DICOM Connectivity is for digital data transfer to a DICOM network for storage and this iIncludes DICOM Worklist for querying and retrieving the patient worklist schedule from the hospital or radiology information system. Doppler Auto Stat Enables or disables the default display of measurements and graphical traces to the track mean and/or maximum velocities or frequencies. DVD Digital Versatile Disk Electrocardiogram ECG or EKG, this is the cardiac physiologic waveform generated from leads applide to the skin. eSieImage™ Multiparametric Optimization Used to optimize the uniformity of image brightness in the field of view using eSieImage technology. The system displays the eSieImage icon on the image screen when the feature is activated. eSieScan Workflow Protocols An eSieScan protocol is a predefined checklist to guide you through a clinical workflow. The user can define protocol steps (views) that include an image or clip with measurements, body markers, and annotations. Also, the user can change the sequence of views during a protocol, pause, and resume a protocol. Additionally, create new workflow protocols or modify existing protocols, import, or export protocols using a USB storage device. eSieScan™ Workflow Protocol An eSieScan workflow protocol is a pre-defined checklist that guides you through a clinical workflow. The protocol consists of one or more views. A protocol view is an image or clip that can also include measurements, a body marker, and annotations. When the image or clip is saved and the measurements are performed, a view is complete. Use the configuration settings to create and customize user-defined workflow protocols. Freeze Still image generated by tapping the Freeze key on the control panel. Imaging parameters Displays a list of imaging settings for the active operating mode. Live Imaging This is actively using ultrasound in real-time. Patient Banner Displays patient information, operator, institution, the system date and time. Patient Browser The patient browser displays a list of patient studies in the selected storage location, for example, the local database (hard disk), a configured server, or a USB storage device. Patient Demographics Patients Name, Identification Number, Date of Birth, Age, Gender, Height, Weight, Body Surface Area (BSA), and Blood Pressure (BP mmHg). Physio Management This assigns the ECG or EKG lead type for use with the physiologic function. Screen Saver The screen saver feature freezes the system and replaces the active display with a screen-saver display after the system has been inactive for a specified number of minutes. Exit the active screen saver display by pressing any key, adjusting any control, or rolling the trackball. An active screen saver display also locks the screen. A locked screen requires a username and password to access the system.
