Monitor: No Audio The ACUSON Juniper system showcases a 21.5 inch (54.6 cm) LED LCD monitor which features: Lower black levels Easy monitor adjustment location with posterior grips Task light with three levels of brightness Easy monitor custom setting Select each of the markers for expanded descriptions. Layer 2. Touch Screen: No Audio The customizable 13.3 inch (33.7 cm) touch screen tilts up to 20 degrees to best fit the needs of the user. Two Universal Serial Bus (USB) ports are located on the left side of the touch screen and brightness controls are located on the right. Select each of the markers for expanded descriptions. Layer 3. Gel Warmer and Transducer Holders: No Audio The standard gel warmer is configurable in location and includes adjustable temperature controls. A large gel bottle holder is also an option. The system includes six transducer holders (four are short and two support longer transducers). Holders are configurable on either side of the control panel and are easy to clean. Select the marker for an expanded description. Layer 4. Optional Peripherals: No Audio Optional Peripherals Select each of the markers for expanded descriptions about the optional peripherals. Layer 5. Optional Foot Switch: No Audio A USB enabled foot switch is available as an option and has two pedals for dual configurable functionalities. The foot switch is ideal for hands-free system operation. To configure the foot switch: Select System Configuration Custom Keys Key Function Then select from the list of custom assignments available for the Right Pedal and Left Pedal Layer 6. Storage: No Audio Storage Select each of the markers for expanded views of the generous storage capabilities on the ACUSON Juniper system. Layer 7. Wheels: No Audio Castors The ACUSON Juniper system now has easy wheeling castors with steering and lock capabilities. Select the markers for the steering and lock combinations. Layer 8. Select the markers for the steering and lock combinations. Locked Position No Movement Press both pedals down to place the wheel in a locked position without movement. Unlocked Neutral Position Press both pedals up to unlock the wheel in neutral position. Steer Mode Press the green pedal down and the red pedal up to place the wheel in steer mode. Swivel Mode Press the green pedal up and the red pedal down to place the wheel in swivel mode. Cable Management: No Audio Cable Management With the increased number of transducer ports available on the system is important to manage the transducer cables effectively to protect the them from unintended damage. The ACUSON Juniper system showcases a flexible cable management system which includes two cable clips located above the transducer ports, as well as two cable hangers located on the control panel. Articulation: No Audio Articulation The system contains articulating components which enables tilt and swivel adjustment of the control panel. Select the markers for information about articulation. Layer 6. Optional Control Panel Overlay: No Audio Optional Control Panel Overlay A disposable (optional) protective overlay is available for the system control panel. Options for the control panel overlay include a large overlay that can cover both the control panel and monitor or a set of smaller overlays to cover individual controls. Insert picture here 5 Control Panel Height Adjustment of 4.3 inches (11 cm) Control Panel Swivel 90-degrees in ether directions for a 180-degree swivel range. The 90-degree control panel swivel articulation allows the user to scan from the front or the side of the system, depending on clinical use. Monitor Articulation The monitor angel can be adjusted for optimal viewing and the monitor can swivel down for transportation. 4 Transducers Offered - ACUSON Juniper System Cable Management 3 With the increased number of transducer ports available on the system is important to manage the transducer cables effectively to protect the them from unintended damage. A QuikStart standby mode is available. This feature: Powers up in less than 2 seconds and shuts down in ~4 seconds Press Power and then Standby to enter Scanning requires a power source connection The battery is located under the front of the system. Layer 2. Control Panel: No Audio Select each of the markers for the locations of controls, modes and keys. Layer 3. Keyboard: No Audio A virtual alphanumeric keyboard is located on the touch screen. There is an option for a pull-out keyboard (optional). Select the marker for an expanded description. Layer 4. Screen Saver: No Audio The system supports a screen saver feature with images of a juniper tree displayed in multiple environments over the course of a day. The ACUSON Juniper ultrasound system has 5 available image sizes, which are easily selected by using the rotary soft key located at the base of the touch screen. Layer 7. The ACUSON Juniper ultrasound system has five available image sizes, which are easily selected by using the rotary soft key located at the base of the touch screen. Select each of the markers to review the image screen information. Image Screen 5 Thumbnails The thumbnail images are displayed along the right side of the image. The controls to print, delete and clear thumbnail images are located on the bottom right. Home Base or Trackball The trackball controls are mode-dependent and are displayed at the bottom of the touch screen. User-Defined (UD) Keys The assignments for the UD1, UD2, and UD3 keys are located on the control panel and the custom assignments are displayed on the bottom left of the imaging screen. These user-defined keys can be programmed in the System Configuration Menu under “Custom Keys”. Imaging Parameters The imaging parameters are displayed for each mode. The user can hide the imaging parameters by selecting Imaging Parameters on the left side of the touch screen. Select Imaging Parameters again to restore. Patient Banner The Patient Banner displays the patient information. The Hospital name can be entered in the System Configuration menu under “General 1”. To clean the filter: Power off the ultrasound system and unplug the power cord from the power supply. Push the air filter tray in to release the locking mechanism and then pull the tray from the system. Rinse the air filter tray with running water and allow the filter to completely dry. Check and clean the air filters weekly, or as needed, to maintain proper system cooling. Trackball: No Audio Cleaning the Trackball 1. Rotate the ring around the trackball counterclockwise and carefully lift the ring to remove. 2. Remove the trackball. 3. Clean the ring, trackball and trackball assembly with a cotton swab or lint-free pad moistened with a mild detergent solution (as required, use an approved disinfectant wipe to disinfect the ring, trackball and trackball assembly). 4. After allowing the trackball components to completely dry, place the trackball into the assembly. 5. Place the ring over the trackball, aligning the tab with the point of attachment on the assembly, and rotate clockwise until the ring snaps into place.
