Special functions can be assigned to the five user-defined keys under Presets>Customize Keys>Key Function. For example, Transducer selection, Trapezoid, U/D Flip, L/R Flip can be selected from the drop-down menu for each key. Use the alphanumeric keyboard for entering data, accessing the Help menu, activating the Biopsy guidelines, adding Text, Body Markers and Arrows to images, and configuring system presets Angle is a dual-function control that can be rotated/pressed to adjust the spectral Doppler angle or activate Anatomical M-mode in a cardiac study. During 3D/4D imaging, this control rotates the volume around the "x" axis. Notes 15 Turnover Workbook | ACUSON NX3™ Ultrasound System For linear array transducers, the Steer control steers the 2D image and positions the M-mode or Doppler cursor or the color region of interest (ROI). Rotating the Select control either highlights a selection or cycles through available selections; pressing the Select control either adjusts the setting for the highlighted selection or activates the highlighted selection. For example, when in the Review menu, pressing Select toggles the full-screen display format with the most recently selected display format; rotating the Select control pages through the stored images. The active function of the Select key displays next to the status icon at the bottom of the imaging screen. The Home Base area provides access to the trackball, Select keys, Escape, Measurements, and Update key. The Freeze key is on the front right of the control panel. Print Store 1 and Print Store 2 are configured for the preferred destination under Presets>Customize Keys> Print/Store 1 or 2. Clip Store can be configured to store a volume, clip or image under Presets>Customize Keys> Clip Store Key. Rotating the Depth/Zoom control changes the imaging depth. Pressing Depth/Zoom activates Zoom to magnify the image. Rotating the control in Zoom or HD Zoom changes the magnification level. High density (HD) zoom increases the images size, detail resolution and frame rate in a region of interest. During 3D/4D imaging, pressing HD Zoom displays the single volume image on the screen. Rotating the Focus control positions the focal zones in the image; pressing the control changes the number of focal zones. Pressing Dual displays two separately acquired images, side-by-side. The UD (user-defined) control can be customized under Presets>Customize Keys> UD Key to perform a variety of functions, similar to the UD Keys 1-5. A solid green LED indicates that the battery pack is fully charged. If the LED is not illuminated, then there is a problem with the battery pack, or the battery pack may be missing. Note: To avoid the possibility of static shock and damage to the system, avoid the use of aerosol spray cleaners on the monitor screens. What not to do: 1.
