Make sure the locking lever on the right side of the ultrasound system is in the unlocked position. 2. Insert the transducer connector into the port, taking care to align the connector for a smooth fit. 3. Push the locking lever to the locked position. The system detects the transducer and displays the transducer name on the image screen. To disconnect a transducer: 1. Push the locking lever to the unlocked position. 2. Firmly grasp the transducer connector and carefully pull it straight out from the transducer port. 3. Store the transducer in its protective carrying case. If the user purchased the optional integrated Smart Cart, a multi-transducer module (MTM) is included. The user can connect up to three transducers to the ultrasound system. The connecting and disconnecting transducers procedures are the same for the module and the ultrasound system When transducer connectors are connected or disconnected from the system, there may be some resistance due to the special shielding material inside the connectors. This is normal for these transducers. Protective Transducers Holders SIEMENS Healthineers 1 Point of attachment 2 Tab 3 Support 4 Holder 4 3 2 Example of transducer holders. The user can use a trigger delay to evaluate the function of the valves, wall motion, and dynamics of blood flow. To enable trigger, tap Trigger and then tap Trigger Type and select either Single or Dual to display one or two triggers. The system detects the R-wave and displays each trigger as a white, vertical line on the ECG trace. ECG Tips SIEMENS Healthineers No ECG trace Check ECG gain to ensure it is not set too low Check lead connection Ensure that the cables and adaptors/connectors are properly attached Ensure leads are on patient properly HC US MSC S SET Page 31 | Unrestricted C Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. 2017 These are a few tips if the ECG trace does not display when activated.
