It is a web-based, loosely-coupled client. The ACUSON P500 system allows users to access the Q-path web page via integrated Internet Explorer in the P500 Report screen. The customer must first have a Q-path solution (sold separately) and it must be activated and configured under Configuration > Report > Qview. The user enters the URL, user-name and password they received from Telexy. Q-path is a DICOM storage server and the host for Qview clients. Q-path is an ultrasound data management system that enables clinicians to view patient studies and manage quality assurance, credentialing, exam storage, billing and reporting. Note: It allows the user to transfer study results to any EMR/HER system with standard HL7 protocols. For further information on Q-path by Telexy, see http://telexy.com. If the ultrasound system is connected to a wired network, the ultrasound system disconnects from the wired network. If in the process of saving a study to a network location, the LAN connection is disconnected, the ultrasound system pauses the process of saving the study and resumes saving the study when the system is reconnected to the LAN through a wired or wireless connection. To connect the system to a network through a wired connection the network administrator must configure the required wired connection on the ultrasound system under Configuration > Network. Connect the network cable to the Ethernet port on the ultrasound system or smart cart. Connect the network cable to the hospital or clinic network port. The system then connects to the LAN through the wired connection and displays an icon in the status bar indicating a wired connection. For further information on system and network configuration settings, please refer to the ACUSON P500 Diagnostic Ultrasound System Reference Manual or double-click on the Configuration step-by-step on Slide #15. When the system is connected through a wireless connection, an icon in the status bar is displayed indicating a wireless connection and the signal strength. Siemens recommends connecting the ultrasound system to wireless networks that use only the 5 GHz frequency bandwidth to reduce potential radio interference form the 2.4 GHz frequency bandwidth. For further information on system and network configuration settings, please refer to the ACUSON P500 Diagnostic Ultrasound System Reference Manual or double-click on the Wireless Network Configuration step-by-step on Slide #15. Connect the other end of the cable to the power port on the back of the ultrasound system or to the optional smart cart. Plug the power supply cable into a hospital-grade or local equivalent power outlet per the specifications in the table above. To power on the system, press the power on/off control on the left side of the keyboard. To power off the system, press the power on/off control and then click Shutdown. Wait approximately 20 seconds between powering the system off and on again to allow the system to complete its shutdown sequence. The ultrasound system supports three on-board documentation devices but can only support two on-board documentation devices at one time. The smart cart has two power supply ports for accessories and peripheral and one power supply (rightmost) reserved for the internal adaptor. The ultrasound system and the smart cart each have four USB ports. On-board peripheral devices must be installed by an authorized Siemens representative or by a Siemens- approved third party. Devices installed by other people will be at the user’s risk and may void the system warranty. System Battery Management SIEMENS Healthineers . Status bar icon on monitor indicates system is on O battery power and remaining charge Battery Release Battery Pack O Lock for AC power, otherwise runs down battery power HC US MSC S SET Page 21 | Unrestricted C Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. 2017 Speaker Notes: The lithium-ion battery provides power when AC power source is not available. Expect at least one hour of battery life while scanning with a fully charged battery. Prior to using the battery for the first time, connect the system to a power outlet for at least three hours for a full charge. An icon in the status bar indicates the battery charge status. The battery pack charge indicator LED is located at the front of the system, below the UD 2 key. A blue blinking LED indicates that the battery is actively charging. A solid blue LED indicates that the battery pack is fully charged. If the LED is not illuminated, then there is a problem with the battery pack, or the battery pack may be missing. Note: After docking the system to the smart cart, be sure to pull the lever located on the bottom right of the docking station out until it clicks; otherwise, the system will not be powered by AC and it will run the battery power down. If the system is not used regularly, remove the battery during any lengthy non-use period. To remove the battery, first disconnect all devices and cables from the system, including the transducer, power cable and peripheral devices. Then slide the release located above the battery pack to unlock the battery compartment. To reinsert the battery, insert the end of the battery without the terminals into the compartment. Then insert the end of the battery with the terminals aligned to the connectors into the compartment and firmly press the battery into position. Summary SIEMENS Healthineers .
