Load sample tubes, trace the path of a sample tube through the system, use the search feature to find samples on the system, and assign completed sample trays to cold storage. This clinical laboratory training qualifies for continuing education units (CEU).

Welcome to the ADVIA® Automation Sample Processing Online Training. Sample Processing on the ADVIA Automation includes: Sample loading Appropriate routing to analytical instruments Sample unloading Select Next to continue.   Assign completed sample trays to cold storage Describe how the sample travels through the automation system Locate samples with pending test requests Recognize proper sample loading procedures Utilize the search feature of the LineMaster workspace to locate samples on the automation system Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to: Select Next to continue. How do samples get placed into pucks? Sample tubes are loaded into a Sample Tray beginning with position A1 Samples are loaded left to right to position A10, then moving to position B1 Sample Trays are loaded into the Sample Manager Sample Manager Robot moves the tubes from the Sample Tray to individual pucks Tube Types Learn about acceptable tube types. The puck transports sample tubes of varying diameters and heights.  Some acceptable tube details are: Tube Diameter:  11.5mm to 16.2mm Tube Height:  75mm to 100mm Cap Type:  Hemogard, Classic Vacutainer, Screw Cap Tube Composition:  Glass or Plastic Note:  For Decapper or CXL installed systems refer to the ADVIA® Automation Solutions Operator’s Manual for specific tube.   When complete, select the X in the upper-right corner to close the window and continue.
