ADVIA Centaur® CP Immunoassay System Additional Worklist Functions Online Training

Additional worklist functions includes scheduling repeats, replicates, and dilutions. This clinical laboratory training qualifies for continuing education units (CEU).

In emergency diagnostic situations, physicians order tests to quickly evaluate the patient’s metabolic functions. Key tests include measuring the metabolites glucose and lactate. Different measuring methods are available for testing blood glucose and lactate-factors include sample type and area of application. Welcome to the ADVIA Centaur® CP Additional Worklist Functions Online Training course. The procedures covered in this course include: Schedule manual and system-performed sample dilutions Schedule replicate tests Create test profiles Add patient demographics Schedule a batch Select Next to continue. Add patient demographics Create test profiles Schedule batches Schedule dilutions Schedule replicate tests Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to: Select Next to continue. In this section, we'll interact with the syngo Lab Data Manager software. You will be able to log into the system, identify the screen layout, and launch applications. To find out more about each task, select the links below. Congratulations.  You have completed the Additional Worklist Functions online training course. Listed below are the key points that have been presented. Take time to review the material as needed before proceeding to the final quiz.    Schedule Dilutions: Automatic scheduling by the ADVIA Centaur® CP based upon laboratory specific criteria System-performed dilutions are scheduled in the Sample Compartment window Select sample, select assay, select Dilute, choose assay, select dilution factor, deselect Undiluted. Manual dilutions are scheduled in the Sample Compartment window. Select sample, select Dilute, enter dilution factor, Close Dilutions, select assay. Schedule Replicate Tests: Scheduled in the Sample Compartment window Select sample, select assay, select Replicates, choose assay, enter replicates Schedule Batches: Scheduled in the Sample Compartment window Select rack, select Enable Batches, choose assays, select Disable Batches Create Test Profiles: Created in the Setup window Select Setup, select Profile Definition, select Add Profile, enter profile name and LIS code, select assays, select Save Add Patient Demographics: Entered in the Schedule Worklist window in Results Select Results, select Schedule Worklist, enter SID and demographic information, select assay, select OK Select Next to continue.   Sample Dilutions Automatic dilutions - Setup in the software to automatically schedule a dilution if the original result is greater than the concentration limit System-performed dilutions - Dilution performed by the system using an onboard diluent and scheduled in the Sample Compartment or Schedule Worklist window Manual dilutions - Dilution prepared on the bench and scheduled in the Sample Compartment or Schedule Worklist window Dilution profile - Multiple dilutions scheduled for a test Note: You must dilute all samples with the correct ADVIA Centaur CP diluent specified for each test.  Refer to the assay Instructions for Use (IFU) for more information. These locations are referred to as SIQ.  Examples of sample issues are sample not properly checked in, unreadable barcode labels, duplicate samples, sample integrity errors and no workorder. After a sample is diverted to the SIQ location, the operator must determine the problem.  This information is in the SIQ screen.
