Empty any water from the water bottle and pour approximately 1 liter of cleaning solution into the water bottle. Place the cap on the bottle and close tightly. Swirl the solution around the inside of the bottle a few times. Press gauze over the hole in the top of the bottle. Invert the bottle. Swirl the solution a few times and then return the bottle to the upright position. Soak the bottle in the upright position for five minutes. Press gauze over the hole in the top of the bottle. Invert the bottle. Swirl the solution a few times and then return the bottle to the upright position. Remove the cap. And empty the water bottle. Rinse the inside of the bottle at least five times with fresh di water. Invert the bottle to dry.
