ADVIA® Chemistry XPT System Cleaning Pure Water Bottle and Filters Video

This video provides instructions on how to clean the pure water bottle and filters. This is required maintenance every 4 months on the ADVIA® Chemistry XPT System.

Clogged filters create an insufficient flow rate and produce air bubbles. The laboratory is responsible to have a set of spare filters to avoid system downtime. Replace the filter with the spare resume operation, and then clean and store the removed filter for the next scheduled maintenance. To clean the pure water bottle filters. First, ensure that the system is in standby mode. Open the lower left panel. Remove the pure water bottle tubing cap. Identify the 18 R filter tubing, which is the large tubing separated from the small tubing bundle. Unfasten the filter Holder from the end of the return line and remove the 18 R filter. If the filter is ripped or damaged, replace it with a new filter. To clean the 18 R filter, first place the filter in a beaker filled with a freshly made 10% solution of household bleach and water. After 30 minutes, remove the filter. An rinse with deionized water. Return the filter to its original location in the filter Holder and fasten the filter Holder to the return line. Wipe the tube and place the line on a clean paper towel. Pull out the 10 R filter tubings. Push that NR filter band away from the filters to gain access to each line and wipe the band to prevent water from dripping on the electronics. Unfasten the filter Holder from the end of one of the 10 R tubings and then remove the filter. Repeat the procedure to remove the filter from each of the small 10 R tubings. To clean the 10 R filter, place the filter in a beaker filled with a freshly made 10% solution of household bleach and water. After 30 minutes, remove the filter and rinse with deionized water. After cleaning, place the clean filter in the filter Holder. Ensure that the filters are properly positioned within the filter Holder to avoid filter shift. Fasten the filter Holder. To clean the pure water bottle, disconnect the liquid level sensor cable connector from the system frame above the pure water bottle. Then disconnect the overflow tube. And disconnect the water inlet and circulation tubes. Remove the pure water bottle and empty the contents of the bottle. Rinse the pure water bottle with 200 milliliters of 5% probe. Wash three and drain well, rinsed the pure water bottle well with D ionized water and drain it. Return the pure water bottle to its original position. Reconnect the water inlet and circulation tubes and reconnect the overflow tube. Return the 18 R filter tubing and the 10 R filter tubing bundle to the water bottle. And replace the cap. Reconnect the liquid level sensor cable connector to the system frame above the pure water bottle. Then turn the switch in the front of the system all of the way to the right to bring the system into operate mode. Next, prime the fluid lines by first selecting system operations. Then prime. Then Prime 2. Enter 10 or more for the number of times in all fields. Select perform. And then OK, if you're cleaning other bottles, you may wait to perform this step for all fluid lines. To set the water pump pressure, first select diagnostics. Then select manual operation. Ensure that only water supply subassembly is selected. Select the LWP 71 water pressure pump pro to turn the LWP on, check the water pump pressure and, if necessary, turn the NOB on the water pump to adjust the pressure value. 268K pascals. Select the LWP 71 water pressure pump pro again to turn the LWP off. Select close. Complete the procedure by closing the lower left panel.
