This video provides instructions on how to drain the vacuum tank. This is a required monthly maintenance task on the ADVIA® Chemistry XPT System.

drain the vacuum tank, first open the lower left panel to access the blue vacuum tank drain tube on the lower shelf. There are two blue tubings in this location. In the subassembly area, select valves. Select unit #60 and unit #62 to open the valves. Once the drain valves are open, initiate the wastewater drain by first selecting maintenance. Then select schedule. Select drain, vacuum tank and select perform. When the vacuum tank drain completes, replace the cap on the vacuum tank drain tube. Return the tube to its original location. Close the door. Close the drain valves by first selecting diagnostics in the software. Select manual operation in the subassembly area. Select valves. Select unit #60 and unit #62 to close the valves. Complete the procedure by returning the system to ready mode. Select system operations and finally select initialize.
