ADVIA® Chemistry XPT System Replacing SPP Probe Video

This video provides instructions on how to replace the SPP probe on the ADVIA® Chemistry XPT System.

replace the SPP probe, 1st put the system in standby. Then open the top left cover. Unlock and open the SPP noise reduction cover. Loosen, but do not remove the screws on each side of the probe arm cover. Be careful when applying pressure to the probe arm when the system is in standby mode, the probe moves easily and there's potential for crashing the probe. Remove the probe arm cover and set it aside. Lucent, but do not remove the probes. Setscrew and the probe Holder set screw on the SPP probe. Remove the knurled fitting from the probe coupling by turning it counterclockwise. Lift and remove the old pro by holding the probe coupling and flange. Discard the old probe as biohazard material. Locate and carefully insert the new probe through the guide hole until the flange is properly seated. Snap the probe coupling back in the white Holder. Slide the neural fitting into the probe coupling and carefully tighten it until snug. Be careful not to force the neural fitting too far. Tighten both the probes that screw and the Holder set screw while maintaining the probe position. Lift up the probe arm. Manually rotate the probe over the probe wash Cup, but not within the wash port. Then turn the switch in the front of the system all of the way to the right to bring the system into operate mode. Select System operations, then initialize. After the system has initialized, select system operations. Select prime. Select prime 2. Enter 10 or more for the number of times in all fields. Select perform. And then OK. Verify that no water is leaking from the neural fitting. Replace the probe arm cover and tighten the cover screws. Complete the procedure by closing all the covers.
