Aptio® Automation Bulk Input Module Maintenance Job Aid

This job aid provides instructions on how to perform weekly and monthly maintenance on the Bulk Input Module on Aptio® Automation. 
 
Note: This job aid is designed for systems which include "AP2" or "APT" and the letter "C" in the serial number. If your system serial number includes "APT" but does not include the letter "C", please select the Aptio Automation (Siemens) training area. 

Bulk Input Module Maintenance Aptio® Automation Weekly Maintenance Refer to the Aptio Automation Operations Manual when performing the following procedures. Clean the Worktable Supplies needed: lint-free cloth, 0.1 % sodium hypochlorite solution 1. Bring the Bulk Input Module Off-line: a. Select Overview b. Select Bulk Input in Overview screen c. Select Status d. Select Off‐line, select Do Not Flush 2. Clean the worktable, the lid and the lid button with a lint-free cloth moistened with 0.1% sodium hypochlorite solution. Be careful during the cleaning. Ensure the Bulk Input Module is Off-line 2. If the Bulk Input Module robot gripper is closed, perform the following procedure: a. Select Bulk Input in the Overview screen b. Select Diagnostics ‐ Robot c. Select Tube Gripper d. Select Open 3. Access the area over the robot: a. Unscrew the knobs b. Remove all sample tubes, if present 5. Clean the gripper inside and outside with a lint-free cloth moistened with 0.1% sodium hypochlorite solution. Do not allow the cleaning solution to touch any wires, sensors, or other mechanisms. Clean only the inside and outside of gripper jaws 6. Remove all sample tubes from the Bulk Input Module tray, if present: a. Select Diagnostics b. Select Diagnostics ‐ Lid, Hopper & Separator c. Select Lid d. Select Open e. Manually remove the sample tubes from the tray 3. Remove the tray a. Release the upper panel and lift it up b. Pull the handle to allow the tray extraction d.
