Clean the gripper pads, head and the drip tray Supplies needed: lint-free cloth, 0.1% sodium hypochlorite solution, hex tool (2.5 mm) 1. Bring the Decapper Module Off-line: a. Select Overview b. Select Decapper c. Select Status d. Select Off‐line e. Select Flush Carriers f. Select Diagnostics g. Select Head h. Remove the Decapper Module cover a. Access the Decapper Module and remove the screws securing the cover b. Set aside the screws and remove the cover 3. Using a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with 0.1% sodium hypochlorite solution, clean the gripper pads, the inner part of Decapper head and the drip tray 4. Inspect the gripper pads to ensure they are secure and not excessively worn. Reinstall the cover over the Decapper Module, being careful to align the mounting pins and holes. Install and tighten the screws to secure the cover 6. Bring the Decapper Module On-line: a. Remove the Decapper Module cover a. Access the Decapper Module and remove the screws securing the cover b. To access the waste chute, perform the following steps: a. Select Diagnostics b. Select Head c. Select Counterclockwise 4. Clean the waste chute foil (plastic file sheet) with soapy water, being careful to not to scratch it 6. Using a lint-free cloth, wipe the waste chute foil (plastic film sheet) 7. Roll the waste chute foil (plastic film sheet) and insert it into the chute. With a smooth movement, slide the Decapper head back into place 9. Replace the cover, being careful to align the mounting pins and holes.
