Daily Maintenance Daily Maintenance Weekly Maintenance Clean and lubricate the centrifuge 11.Clean the loading and unloading area 1. Select Off-line > Flush Carriers 12.Close cover, replace the front panel. Lock the 2. Turn the red locking knob clockwise to unlock cover, turn on the power the cover 13.Reset the Robot and bring the module On- 3. Lift the cover and engage the locking line mechanism. Move the Robot to the right 4. Remove the front panel 5. Unlock the lid. Turn off the power. Open the lid 4. Clean and inspect the internal rotor for cracks, brittleness or wear 5. Remove all bucket inserts. Clean and inspect for cracks or corrosion 6. Remove all buckets. Clean and inspect for cracks or corrosion. Verify the “usable until” date 7. Clean the interior and rotor pegs 8. Reapply centrifuge grease 9. Replace buckets and inserts. Close the lid. Weekly Maintenance 3 Clean the IOM worktable 1. Select Off-line > Do not flush 2. Remove all racks 3. Using the red knob under the IOM, unlock the cover 4. Move the monitor 5. Using the handle, lift the safety cover until the locking mechanism is engaged 6. Move the robot to the side 7. Clean the worktable with a lint-free cloth and 0.1% sodium hypochlorite 8. Release the locking mechanism, close and lock the safety cover 9. Initialize the Robot then bring the module On-line 7 Supplies needed: Refer to the Aptio Automation Operations Manual when 0.1% sodium hypochlorite performing this procedure. Select Off-line > Do not flush 2. Remove all racks and the cover 3. Slide the robot to the side 4. Clean the worktable with a lint-free cloth moistened with 0.1% sodium hypochlorite solution 5. Replace the cover and secure it 6. Initialize the module and bring it On-line Refer to the Aptio Automation Operations Manual when Supplies needed: performing this procedure. Monthly Maintenance Clean or replace air filters on computer and remove dust from UPS 1. Open the IOM access door 2. Loosen the two thumbscrews and remove the computer air filter 3. Replace with a new or clean, dry filter 4. Using a lint–free cloth remove any dust from the UPS (Note: not all systems will have a UPS in the IOM) 5. Close the IOM access door Clean and Inspect the racks for the IOM, Rack Input and Rack Output Modules 11 12 13 15 1. Clean all racks with a lint-free cloth moistened with 0.1% sodium hypochlorite solution except the barcode 2. Remove dust from the barcode with a dry 14 ........ lint-free cloth 3. Clean the waste chute foil on the Decapper Module 1. Set the module Off-line a) Select Overview > Decapper > Status > Off-line > Flush Carriers 2. Using the Diagnostics function, select Head > Up 3. Remove the cover 4. Using the Diagnostics function, select Head > Counterclockwise 5 5. Remove the plastic waste chute foil (plastic film sheet) from the waste chute and clean with soapy water. Take care not to scratch it 6. Dry the plastic film sheet using a lint-free cloth, roll and insert in the waste chute 7. Slide the head clockwise back into place Supplies needed: 8. Maintenance Replace the sealer coil on the Sealer Module 1. Select Off-line >Do not Flush 2. Home the sealing head 3. Unlock the module. Open the cover 4. Remove the old sealer coil and replace 5. Close the cover 6. In the Status tab, select Reel Count and reset to the appropriate amount (either 16000 or 19000) 7. Select Diagnostics – Sealer Loader > Feed. The module will cut 10 pieces of foil 8. Remove all the foil pieces 9. Close the cover and bring the module On- line ! Remove the Tips Container lid 3. Remove the bottom from under the tips box 4. Insert the box into the tips container 5. Pull the flaps (paper strips) away from the box 6. Pull one end of the flaps until both flaps are out of the box 7 7. Hold the handles and slowly lift the box out of the tips container ter conductive tips Epoco 8. Replace the tips container lid 9. Select Diagnostics-Tips > Tip Box Filled 10.Bring the module On-line Supplies needed: Tips ! Refer to the Aptio Automation Operations Manual when performing this procedure. Select Off-line > Do not Flush 2. Open the labeler door. Lift the hinged secondary tube labeler 3. Press the white latch, then press the black release lever to open the print head 3 4. Pull the black plastic take up spool clip to remove it 4 5. Pull the label stock roll latch spring lock 1-AQM open, then move it away from the label roll 6. Replace the printer label cartridge on the Aliquoter Module 7. Load the new label roll and close the label 13 stock roll latch 8. Feed the label tape end up the right side of the labeler, over the top and down the left 12 side. 9. Wrap the tape end around the take up spool in a clockwise direction. Replace the black clip so it securely holds the tape end 9 1-AQM 10.Rotate the takeup spool in a clockwise direction to remove any slack 7 11.Check that the label roll is straight as it feeds into the labeling area 12.Close the print head 13.Close the hinged secondary tube labeler Continued on next page Supplies needed: ! Replace the printer label cartridge on the Aliquoter Module 15 14.Advance the label tape using the feed button 15.Place a secondary tube in the labeling area between the rollers with the open end closest to the operator 16.Select Diagnostics – Labelling & BCR 17.Select Print Label 18.Select Labeling Test 19.Verify that the label is correctly positioned 1 and that printed data (barcode, human readable, and four printed rows) is legible 20.Close the labeler door and bring the module On-line Supplies needed: ! Select Off-line > Flush Carriers for the appropriate module 4 2. Open or remove the module cover 3. Remove the track cover. Remove the tunnel that covers the TIM or VDM camera. Do not turn the tunnel upside down as this 5 will compromise the tunnel door functionality 4. Clean the external and internal surface with a lint-free cloth moistened with 0.1% sodium hypochlorite except for the black surface covered with flocking film 5. Inspect the inner black surface of the tunnel for damage 6. Clean the area surrounding the carrier sensor 7 7. Clean the camera with a lint-free cloth 8. Reinstall the tunnel, track cover and module cover, if removed 9. Lock any safety covers, initialize the module and select On-line Supplies needed: Refer to the Aptio Automation Operations Manual when performing this procedure.
