Example: Select Stand-by to prevent the Refrigerated Storage Module (RSM) from storing additional sample tubes when it is near full capacity. Sample Processing Input Lane Selection Prior to loading samples, ensure all modules and instruments are On-line • and ready to process samples Ensure all input racks are in lanes assigned for their appropriate tube types • Racks in Routine lanes are processed in the order in which they are loaded • Lane Type Indicator Description Sample tubes that require all pre-analytic processing based on hardware Routine Input configuration. For chemistry samples, centrifuging and decapping, if those modules are both installed on the system. For hematology, tubes are routed directly to the instrument. Sample Processing Priority Input Lane Selection Prior to loading samples, ensure all modules and instruments are On-line • and ready to process samples Ensure all input racks are in lanes assigned for their appropriate tube types • Priority lanes are processed before samples in Routine lanes • Lane Type Indicator Description Priority Input Tubes will be given priority handling on the system, with all pre-analytic processing required on those tubes based on hardware configuration. Monthly Maintenance Clean the waste chute on the Decapper Module 1. Select the I/O Module from the Overview Screen 2. Select Going Off-line 3. Bring the head of the Decapper module up 4. Remove the cover 5. Move the head counterclockwise 6. Remove the rolled plastic sheet insert from the waste chute and clean with a lint-free cloth and soapy water 7. Dry the plastic insert, roll and return to the waste chute 8. Move the head clockwise 9. Replace the cover 10.Bring module On-line Supplies needed: Lint-free cloth Soapy water ! As Needed Maintenance Clean the following modules with 10% bleach and lint-free cloth as needed: Rack Input worktable • Rack Output worktable • Bulk Input worktable • Bulk Input hopper • Check sample carrier integrity 1. Ensure all sample carrier on the system are empty 2. Shut down the system 3. Visually inspect the sample carriers for damage 4. Check that the fingers can hold a sample tube securely 5. Pause the system and ensure that all belts have stopped before proceeding. 3. Home the sealing head 4. Prepare module for foil loading 5. Replace the foil reel 6. Aptio system will cut ten foil pieces, ensure that all foil debris is cleared to prevent carrier misreads 7. Start the system 8. Reset the reel count 9. Remove the bottom from under the tips box 5. Insert the box into the tips container 6. Pull the paper strips away from the box 7. Pull one end of the paper strips until both strips are out of the box 8 8. Hold the handles and slowly lift the box out of the tips container er conductive tips 9. Open the labeler door. Lift the hinged secondary tube labeler 4. Press the white latch, then press the black 4 release lever to open the print head 5. Pull the black plastic take up spool clip to 5 remove it 1-AQM 6. Pull the label stock roll latch spring lock open, then move it away from the label roll 6 7. Feed the label tape end up the right side of the labeler, over the top and down the left side. 13 10.Wrap the tape end around the take up spool in a clockwise direction. Replace the black clip so it securely holds the tape end 11.Rotate the takeup spool in a clockwise 10 1-AQM direction to remove any slack 12.Check that the label roll is straight as it feeds into the labeling area 8 13.
