Aptio® Automation Replace Foil Reel

The sealer module foil real is replaced as needed. The operator will be alerted when the foil reel is empty. Remove the two thumb screws that secure the cover and set them aside. Raise the sealer module cover. Remove the used foil real. Pull back the tape from the new foil real and gently remove it from the foil. Ensure the shiny side of the foil is facing up and install the new real by aligning the peg on the real access with the opening in the foil case. Position the real so the bottom surface is flat against the sealer. Insert the foil tab under the locker identified by #1. Continue loading the foil under the puller number 2 and under the cutter #3. Pull the foil until one inch of the tab is passed the cutter. Smooth out the foil from the locker to the cutter to remove wrinkles. Close the sealer cover, but do not reinstall the two thumb screws that secure it. At this point you will use the software to advance the foil. As the system advances the foil, it cuts 10 pieces. This is done to verify that the foil real an foil were properly loaded. Raise the safety cover and remove the cut pieces of foil. Once the cut foil pieces are removed, you can close the safety cover and replace the thumb screws to secure it. The last step is to use the system software to reset the real count and bring the sieler module on line.
