Aptio® Automation (Siemens) Monthly Maintenance Job Aid

This job aid provides instructions on how to perform monthly maintenance on Aptio® Automation.
Note: This training is designed for systems which include "APT" in the serial number but does not include the letter "C".  If your system serial number includes "APT" and the letter "C" or “AP2”, please select the Aptio Automation (Inpeco) training area.

Monthly Maintenance Clean or replace air filters on computer and Clean and inspect Sample Racks remove dust from UPS 1. Clean all racks with a lint-free cloth and 10% • Computer bleach solution 1. Open the IOM access door 2. Inspect silicone tabs 2. Loosen the two thumbscrews and 3. Air dry and replace in module remove computer air filter. 3. Replace with a new or clean, dry filter • UPS (if present) 1. Using a lint –free cloth remove any dust from UPS Supplies needed: Observe all warnings and cautions stated in the 10% bleach solution Computer Air Filter ! Aptio™ Automation Operator's guide. Lint-free cloth Deionized (DI) water HILS781 Effective Date: 02/03/2014 Monthly Maintenance Clean the robot gripper on the following modules: • Rack Input • Rack Output • Bulk Input • Input/Output Module • Centrifuge • Refrigerated Storage • ADVIA 2120i Refer to the Aptio™ Automation Operator’s Guide, Preventative Maintenance when performing this procedure. Supplies needed: ! Observe all warnings and cautions stated in the Lint-free cloth Aptio™ Automation Operator's guide. 10% bleach solution Hex tool HILS781 Effective Date: 02/03/2014 Monthly Maintenance Clean and inspect tube gripper pads and head on the following modules: • Decapper • Desealer • Recapper Clean and inspect the tube gripper pads on the following module: • Sealer Refer to the Aptio™ Automation Operator’s Guide, Preventative Maintenance when performing this procedure. Supplies needed: Lint-free cloth Soapy water ! Observe all warnings and cautions stated in the Aptio™ Automation Operator's guide. 10% bleach solution Hex tool HILS781 Effective Date: 02/03/2014 Monthly Maintenance Clean the waste chute on the Decapper Module 1. Select the I/O Module from the Overview Screen 2. Select Going Off-line 3. Bring the head of the Decapper module up 4. Remove the cover 5. Move the head counterclockwise 6. Remove the rolled plastic sheet insert from the waste chute and clean with a lint-free cloth and soapy water 7. Dry the plastic insert, roll and return to the waste chute 8. Move the head clockwise 9. Replace the cover 10.Bring module on-line Supplies needed: ! Observe all warnings and cautions stated in the Lint-free cloth Aptio™ Automation Operator's guide.
