Aptio® Automation (Siemens) Weekly Maintenance Job Aid

This job aid provides instructions on how to perform weekly maintenance on Aptio® Automation.
Note: This training is designed for systems which include "APT" in the serial number but does not include the letter "C".  If your system serial number includes "APT" and the letter "C" or “AP2”, please select the Aptio Automation (Inpeco) training area.

Weekly Maintenance Clean and lubricate the centrifuge 6. Clean the surface of the centrifuge loading 1. Select the centrifuge module from the an d unloading area Overview Screen 7. Perform error recovery procedure to complete 2. Select Going Off-line this maintenance item. Note: Ensure the centrifuge robot and centrifuge Refer to the Aptio™ Automation Operator’s module have stopped before proceeding Guide, Preventative Maintenance when performing this procedure. 2. Remove centrifuge inserts from the loading/unloading area and the centrifuge a) Clean each bucket and inspect for cracks 3. Remove the black metal rotor buckets from the centrifuge interior a) Clean each rotor bucket and inspect for cracks Note: if any buckets are cracked or corroded contact Siemens Customer Care Center 4. Clean and lubricate the centrifuge interior 5. Reload rotors and centrifuge buckets Supplies needed: Detergent – pH 5 to pH 8 70% isopropyl alcohol ! Observe all warnings and cautions stated in the Aptio™ Automation Operator's guide. 10% bleach solution Lint-free cloth Deionized (DI) water Centrifuge grease HILS781 Effective Date: 02/03/2014 Weekly Maintenance Clean the I/O Worktable 1. Select the I/O Module from the Overview Screen 2. Select Going Off-line 2. Remove all racks 3. Unlock safety covers, lift the safety cover and lock in place 4. Clean the worktable with a lint-free cloth and 10% bleach solution 5. Release the locking mechanism 6. Close and lock the safety cover 7. Perform error recovery procedure to complete this maintenance item. Refer to the Aptio™ Automation Operator’s Guide, Preventative Maintenance when performing this procedure. Supplies needed: !
