Storage and Retrieval Module Maintenance Aptio® Automation Monthly Maintenance Refer to the Aptio Automation Operations Manual when performing the following procedures. Clean the robot gripper Supplies needed: Lint-free cloth moistened with 0.1 % sodium hypochlorite solution 1. Ensure that the Storage and Retrieval Module is in Off-line status 2. Return all storage racks to the Storage and Retrieval Module: a. Select Storage in the Overview screen b. Select Diagnostics – Conveyor, Shutter and Refrigerator c. Select Conv Init 3. If the Storage and Retrieval robot gripper is closed, perform the following procedure to open it: a. Select Storage in the Overview screen b. Select Diagnostics ‐ Robot c. Select Tube Gripper d. Open the Storage and Retrieval Module cover: a. Turn the red knob located on the Storage and Retrieval Module panel clockwise in order to unlock the cover b. Using the handle, lift up the cover until the locking mechanism is engaged. Ensure the cover is completely opened and the locking mechanism has been engaged c. Clean the gripper inside and outside with a lint-free cloth moistened with 0.1% sodium hypochlorite solution. Do not allow the cleaning solution to touch any wires, sensors, or other mechanisms. Clean only the inside and outside of the gripper jaws 6. Close the cover a. Close the cover lifting up the locking mechanism and lowering the cover b. Turn the red knob located on the panel counter-clockwise in order to lock the cover 7. Reset the Storage and Retrieval Module robot: a. Select Storage from the Overview screen b. Select the Diagnostics ‐ Robot c. Select Home Robot d. Select Reset 8. Reset Storage and Retrieval Module Conveyor: a. Select Diagnostics ‐ Conveyor, Shutter and Refrigerator b. Select Conv Init 9. Bring the Storage and Retrieval Module On-line: a. Select Overview b. Select Storage c. Select Status d. Select On‐line All Storage and Retrieval Module components will be initialized.
