Argus Flow Analysis (E-line) syngo MR Systems with E-line Software 1. Loading Series to Argus: A. Open Patient Browser i. Images in a column are from the same cardiac phase (Time) 3. Optimizing Image Display: A. Select Blue box in upper left corner of rows/columns to select all images B. Select the Zoom/Pan tool C. While holding down left mouse button, roll mouse over the perimeter of the image to magnify (Focus on area-of-interest – e.g. aorta, pulmonary, mitral, etc.) 4. Drawing Tools: A. The Drawing tool is used for freehand contouring ii. The Circle tool is used for drawing circular contours iii. The Interactive Contouring tool is similar to the Drawing tool, but automatically corrects the anatomical countour while it is being traced. 5. Creating ROIs A. Use the Drawing tools to create an ROI on the area-of-interest B. ROI can be drawn in any image of either of the Work Segments C. Once the ROI is drawn, the result of the statistical evaluation is shown next to it D. The value of the highest flow velocity in the ROI is marked by a point in the image HA 251:54 PM 160"256 E. Draw a reference ROI to assist with analyzing low MR 20028 HFS HE SITES +LPH velocities (Background Subtraction) 48 cm 2 i. Select the Ref tool Ref. DW 344 56 ii. Draw small reference ROI in an area with stationary tissue (e.g. spine, fat, muscle, etc.) AR-24992 ml FoV 240 *3 G. Edit drawn contours using Editing tools Editing +O- i. The Delete tool allows you to delete contours ii. The Splice tool allows add/subtract a segment of a completed contour to correct the shape iii. The Nudge tool allows to nudge pre-existing contours to correct the shape iv. The Auto Adjust drawing tool will fot the ROI to the vessel contours v. Use the Propagation tools to propagate drawn ROIs to the other cardiac phases Propagation o-O i. Use to propagate ROI to all slices in row ii. Use to copy reference ROI to all slices o.O iii. Use Drawing/Editing tools to fix any misaligned ROIs iv. Confirm propagated ROIs by selecting the Accept Contours button O 1. Note: This must be done before results can be calculated 6. Peak – Pedak velocity within ROI 3. Flow – Product of the mean velocity and Velocity Peak Velocity surface area 4. Net Flow – Difference between forward Flow Net Flow: and return flow (i.e. Time plot of the stroke volume) Area Summary 5. Area – Cross-section of the vessel 6. Summary – Results summary table iii. Venc Adjustment: i. The Venc Adjustment tool can be used for compensating for minor amounts of velocity aliasing without the need for re-scanning the patient ii. Exceedingly high positive velocity is shown as high negative flow velocity – Black in Ascending Aorta, White in Decending Aorta) iii. Venc aliasing can be corrected as long as maximum flow does not exceed double the VENC set during the scan measurement iv. Open the Venc Adjustment tool Range to 952 Venc Adjustment v. The slide bar may be moved to the right to compensate for positive velocity aliasing, and to the left to compensate for negative velocity Venc Adjustment -120 130 Update Resuts Cancel Rozet aliasing vi.
