Artis Systems VD12: System Movements Video

This video explains how system movements are performed using the stand control module on an Artis zee and Artis Q/Q.zen single plane and biplane system.

Welcome to the Artis System movements video. In this video you will learn how to perform system movements on Artist C, An artist kten using the control console. Artis Z an artist. Ctan systems are available in the following stand configurations floor. Ceiling and by plane. You use the stand control module SCM on the control console to control system movements. On the by plane system there are two stand control modules. One module to control plane, a floorstand movements, the other module to control plane, be ceiling mounted stand movements. You activate system movements by deflecting the multifunctional joystick. At the top of the multifunctional joystick is the dead man switch. You must press the Deadman switch prior to and during joystick deflection to activate system movement. The Deadman Switch helps protect against unintentional system movements that may occur as a result of accidental touch. Press down on the joystick and deflect the joystick in the desired direction. For example Eleo and R AO angulations. Press down on the joystick and deflect the joystick for cranial and caudal angulations. Please note the direction of joystick deflection for eleo, arayo and cranial caudal angulation depends on the location of the control modules in relation to the system. There is an orientation key on the stand control module to select the orientation. The illuminated LED indicates the active position. To change the orientation, for example, when moving the control console to another location on the table, press an hold the key for more than three seconds, the system toggles to the next orientation. Keep pressing the key until the correct orientation is selected. There are buttons on either side of the multi functional joystick. When you press one of the buttons, an alternative see Arm movement is activated. On the floor stand, pressing one of the side buttons activates stand swivel. Please note you only need to press one of the side buttons to activate the movement. You do not need to press both side buttons. On the ceiling stand, pressing one of the side buttons activates stand lanja tude Inal movements. On the back of the multi functional joystick there is a rocker switch for lifting and lowering the detector. Press on the lower button to lower the detector. Press on the top button to raise the detector. On the by plane system you will see an extra button on the stand control module to select simultaneous biplane angulation. Press the button to activate. When activated, the LED is lit. Deflect one of the by plane stand. See arm joysticks in the desired direction. Both the floor plane and the ceiling mounted plane moves simultaneously. On the stand control module there are keys to select system positions and program positions. System positions are basic positions of the stand and table. For example, head side, left side and patient transfer position. The positions available depend on your system type, floor, ceiling or by plane. Select the system positions key on the stand control module. A menu appears on the assist screen with the available positions. Select the desired position. To confirm the selection, press one or both of the two buttons on the sides of the joystick. To move the system to the selected position, press down on the joystick and deflect the joystick away from you. The speed of system movements depends on the degree of joystick deflection. That is, maximum speed is achieved with maximum deflection. Keep the joystick deflected until the system reaches its position. You can save a number of positions that you require for examinations under the programmed positions key. You can select the position and move to the position as described for this system positions. When in position the filters collimator and zoom are established to the values of the selected position. Please note that this video will not describe how to store programmed positions. Please discuss this with your Siemens Healthineers service representative. You can also add your most frequently used positions as direct positions. There are three direct position keys on the stand control module. To store a direct position, move the system to the desired position. Press the store key. Press the desired position Key 1, two or three. The current position is stored under the direct position key. The previously stored position is overwritten. To move the system to a direct position, press the required position key. Press down on the joystick and deflect the joystick away from you. The system moves to the position. During see arm rotation, you can use the zero Stop button to stop the see arm in the basic position. Press the Zero stop button. The LED lights up. Movement stop at the basic position. To continue, see arm movement press on the stand. See arm joystick again.
