ARTIS zee and Q Clean Guide Job Aid ALL ARTIS zee and Q systems Materials needed:  Approved cleaning solutions (listed below)  Warm water  Soft microfiber cloths  Non-sterile gloves to avoid infection to user Please read entire document before cleaning as there are specials instructions for different parts of the system. Additional information can also be found in the user manual. Cleaning and Disinfecting: Use only substances for cleaning and disinfection which are recom- mended. 1. Before cleaning the system, block radiation and block system movement for user safety. 2. Use lukewarm detergent solution and a soft cloth to remove slight contamination. (List of approved cleaning products listed below) 3. Clean all contaminated parts and all parts which may have come in contact with the pa- tient. 4. To remove contrast medium from system parts, use warm water. 5. Remove major contaminations first with a soft cloth soaked in alcohol, then wipe off with clear water. 6. After using disinfectants, always wipe off with clear water. 7. Remove any contamination of Velcro straps using a plastic comb. 8. Keep the ventilation slots of all components unobstructed. 9. Regularly clean the dust off the rails, joints, etc. CAUTION: Do not let cleaning liquids seep into the openings of the system, e.g. air vents, cover gaps, etc. Approved cleaning agents for all systems parts EXCEPT for LCD displays. Always follow manufacturer’s instructions regarding the use of cleaning agents. Droplets that run between the panel and frame can cause damage or total failure of the part.  LCD displays are very sensitive to mechanical damage. Avoid scratches, bumps, etc. 1. If possible, immediately clean any droplets of liquid. 2. If cleaning agent is sprayed directly on the display surface, make sure that any droplets that run down are wiped off with a microfiber cloth before they reach the edge of the panel. 3. If the front of the panel is soiled, clean it with a microfiber cloth and, if necessary, with a glass cleaning agent. Clean housing parts with a cleaning agent for plastics only.
