This job aid provides an overview of the QC Results tab and instructions on how to view and export QC results.

If the assay’s QC severity is at or above its QC severity limit (and operators do not reset the severity), the background color is red  Instrument: instrument associated with the QC result o Background color of the Instrument column reflects the current status of the assay. If the assay’s QC severity is at or above its QC severity limit (and operators do not reset the severity), the background color is red  Lot/Species: lot number or the species name  Assessed: date and time the instrument assessed the result  String value: string representation of the result value o Background color of the String value cell will be red when the QC severity of the associated assay is at or above its QC severity limit  Unit: unit as defined in the test  MS: assay severity of the QC result o Background color: No color when MS is O, Yellow if MS is 1, Orange if MS is 2 and Red if MS is 3 or greater  WS: Westgard severity value  IS: instrument severity  CS: choice severity  C: checkmark appears when a result has associated comments displayed in the Details panels  F: checkmark appears for QC results with flags displayed in the Details panel  GH: indicates whether any assays of tests, other than the one the current QC result directly reflects on, have had their severity set by the current QC result Published by Siemens Healthcare GmbH © Siemens Healthcare GmbH, 2019 Page 3 of 6 Job Aid | QC Results Overview Effective Date: 6/24/2019 | HOOD05162003011683 QC Results Graph Columns Overview The colored graph columns display the portion of the value relative to its population reference value and reference deviation. Colored zones represent the following number of standard deviations:  Grey: between -1SD and 1SD  Green: between -1SD and -2SD or 1SD and 2SD  Yellow: between -2SD and -3SD or 2SD and 3SD  Red: more than -3SD or 3SD Values within the graph columns display as one of the following:  Arrow: outliers further than 4SD from reference  Dot: QC results within the 4SD range  Solid: non-omitted QC results  Outlined: omitted QC results Tests with an Enumerated control data type display the following in the graph columns:  A bullet point in the 0 column when the result choice severity is 0  A left arrow in the -3 column and a right arrow in the +3 column when the result choice severity is not 0 -3 -2 -1 T 2 3 O Published by Siemens Healthcare GmbH © Siemens Healthcare GmbH, 2019 Page 4 of 6 Job Aid | QC Results Overview Effective Date: 6/24/2019 | HOOD05162003011683 Generate a QC Results Report 1.
