Atellica® Data Manager System Overview Online Training

The System Overview includes logging in and out of the system and navigating the software and Home tab features. The System Overview also lists common software features and functionalities of the Atellica Data Manager system.

Welcome to the Atellica® Data Manager System Overview Online Training course. Atellica Data Manager (DM) is a multi-system data manager for analyzers and lab automation systems (LAS). Atellica Data Manager consolidates data from connected analyzers enabling users to review and manage patient and quality control results from a single location.   Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to: Log in and out of the system Navigate and explain main screen areas Navigate and explain Home tab features List common software features and functionalities Congratulations. The current session remains active ID of the active operator Dashboard: launches the Atellica Data Manager Watchdog Dashboard Current date and time  Navigate and explain Home tab features STAT Samples and All Samples charts: doughnut charts that display counts of samples grouped by their sample status QC Alerts chart: doughnut chart that displays operator-defined QC alert counts grouped by an alert severity of low, medium or high Shortcuts: provide quick access to locations and functions and are operator defined My Counters: display operator-defined sample counts that vary between operator accounts Wizards: launch Siemens-defined and operator-defined tasks and applications Edit Counters: provides access to configuration settings for doughnut charts and My Counters Time Period: displays the time period that STAT Samples and All Samples charts cover Refresh Time Interval: displays the refresh time interval for all charts and counters List common software features and functionalities Filter icon: opens or displays the search criteria for the current records list, if applicable Column Chooser icon: configures which columns display and hide Sort: change column sorting by selecting the column header, if applicable. A sort icon in the column header indicates the current sorting Change column width: resize columns by dragging the column divider to the appropriate location Change column position: change column position by dragging the column header to the desired location  ​To locate records: By typing: sort the table by column and type the first characters Using the find function: Select Ctrl + F, enter the appropriate value and select Find By searching: enter the search term in the search field and select Enter on your keyboard Highlight records: ​To highlight a single record: Select within the table the row for the record To highlight multiple records: Highlight a record and drag the mouse across the appropriate range of records Highlight a record and use the Shift and up/down arrows on your keyboard Hold the Ctrl key and select records to add to the highlighted set Select records: To select a single record: Select the checkbox for the record Select within the table the row for the record then press the spacebar on your keyboard ​To select or deselect multiple records: Highlight the records and press the spacebar on your keyboard This inverts the previous selection for the record(s) Select Ctrl + A to select all records Select Ctrl + N to deselect all records Select the checkbox in the column header to select or deselect all records Select Select First to Current or Select Current to Last To access the Atellica Data Manager system, you must first log on using the Atellica DM icon on your desktop. Browsers open in the Sample Query Browser and Utilities tabs. They also share common features and functionalities throughout the software. Locating, Highlighting and Selecting Records Learn about locating, highlighting and selecting records. Tab TitleTextLocating Records To locate a record by typing: Sort the table by the column to be searched, if applicable Type the first characters of the search term ​To locate a record using the find function: ​Select Ctrl + F on your keyboard Enter the appropriate search value Select Find To locate a record by searching, if applicable: ​Enter the search term in the search field Select Enter on your keyboard Highlighting Records To highlight a single record: Select within the table the row for the record To highlight multiple records: Highlight a record and drag the mouse across the appropriate range of records Highlight a record and use the Shift and up/down arrows on your keyboard Hold the Ctrl key and select records to add to the highlighted set ​Note: When operators highlight 1 or more records and select a function or context menu option, it applies to only the first highlighted record. For example, selecting delete will delete only the first highlighted record in a set.
