This job aid provides instructions on cleaning the SATO GL408e printer.

Cleaning the Printer Job Aid Atellica® Inventory Manager This procedure is for the SATO GL408e printer. CAUTION Do not touch parts inside the printer before letting the printer cool to room temperature. Internal areas of the printer can be hot and cause physical injury. Supplies needed:  Soft cloth or air duster  Isopropyl alcohol  Cotton swab 1. On the printer, press LINE to take the printer offline. Turn off the power by pressing the “O” on the power switch WARNING: Do not clean the printer while the printer is connected to a power supply. Disconnect the printer from the power supply and allow the printer to cool to room temperature prior to cleaning. Exercise care when cleaning to prevent personal injury. 08/17/2015 - O 3. Open the printer cover. Use a soft cloth to remove any debris from the inside of the printer 5. Remove the label roll and ribbon. These will be reinstalled after completing the cleaning 7. Apply isopropyl alcohol to a clean swab. Gently wipe the entire surface of the print head which is on the underside of the top of the opened print assembly CANCEL Be careful of the cutter edge. Gently wipe the platen roller ENTER CANCEL Be careful of the cutter edge 9. Reinstall the label roll and ribbon. Insert the power plug into the back of the printer 11. Close the printer cover.
