Printed labels include date received, lot number and expiration date When necessary, labels are placed on items Items are placed in storage locations Antenna(s) are placed where consumption is recognized. RFID labels of consumed items are detected by the antenna(s) and decremented from inventory Physical inventory checks may be performed, as needed, using the RFID handheld. Inventory may be reconciled using the web application A new order can be proposed based on current inventory and customized laboratory criteria Describe the features of the web application Home screen: Orders Overview - Most recent seven orders Inventory Overview - Counters provide a quick summary of the inventory status Recent Events - Recent activities Command Bar - Menu icons and Online Help Events - Information, Warnings and Critical events Inventory - Track, check in, check out and transfer inventory Reports - Create, view, print and export reports and logs Orders - New and approved orders Configuration - Customized to meet the needs of the laboratory Help - Provides online Operator's Guide Describe the features of the RFID handheld application Home screen - Select Windows icon to access Start screen Start screen - Select Atellica IN-Handheld icon to launch the application Main menu- Check in pre-labeled items, Check out items, Reconcile inventory, Transfer to new storage location Inventory management: Order is received and checked in Items added to current inventory stock in the web application Labels are printed and placed on items that are not pre-labeled Items are placed in storage locations RFID labels of consumed items are detected by the antenna(s) and decremented from inventory Physical inventory checks may be performed, as needed When inventory levels have met the reorder criteria, the associated products will go onto a new order   Inventory Management Learn about Inventory Management Slide NumberText BlocksCalloutsAudio ScriptImage File1Orders With Pre-labeling Customers can receive products with RFID labels affixed to each item Items are checked in by scanning the barcode of the ID number of the box they were shipped in Items are placed in their storage location   Note The Pre-labeling feature is not available in all countries. Contact your local sales and support representative for more information.  Customers may receive products with RFID labels already affixed to each item. These pre-labeled items can be checked in quickly by scanning the barcode of the ID label of the box they were shipped in. Items are then placed in their storage locations. 2Orders Without Pre-labeling Items are checked in using the web application Any computer with internet access may be used  Orders received without pre-labeling are unpacked and checked in using the web application. Any computer with internet access may be used. 3Orders Without Pre-labeling (continued) RFID printer generates a label for each item upon check-in Labels include lot number, expiration date and the date the item was checked in Labels are placed on the appropriate items   Note: Always match the product and lot number on the label to the item.  For those items not pre-labeled, the RFID printer generates a unique label for each item upon check in of the order. In addition to the RFID code, the label includes the lot number, expiration date and the date the item was checked in. The labels are placed on the appropriate items Be careful to match the product and lot number on the label to the item.4Items are Placed in Storage Locations Place labeled items in storage locations assigned to them.  Place all labeled, checked in items in the storage locations assigned to them in the Atellica Inventory Manager web application ordering rules.5Items are Detected and Recognized as Consumed Antenna is installed near a trash container, a location where the item is considered consumed, or at an exit point for the trash When the RFID label is detected by the antenna, item is decremented from inventory  An antenna is placed in a location at which consumption of the item is recognized. This may be near a trash container, along a pathway to being consumed, or an exit point for trash from the lab. When an RFID label is detected by the antenna, the item is marked as consumed and decremented from inventory. 6Physical Inventory Checks Performed As Needed Select a storage location on the RFID handheld. The items expected to be in that location are returned to the RFID handheld Scan the storage location to see which items are physically present Compare scan results to the expected inventory Send the scan results to the web application and reconcile any discrepancies between actual and expected inventory  Physical inventory checks may be performed as needed. Select a storage location where you want to verify inventory. The items expected to be in that location are returned to the RFID handheld from the web application. Scan the storage location with the RFID handheld and compare the scan results to the expected inventory. Send the scan results to the web application and reconcile any discrepancies between the actual and expected inventory.7New Order is Proposed Ordering criteria are configured according to laboratory's needs Automatically generated orders are based on the criteria, current stock levels and products already on order  Ordering criteria for products are configured in the web application according to the laboratory's needs. Atellica Inventory Manager can automatically generate an order of all products for which the current stock level has reached the configured minimum amount. Orders can be placed with or without an additional approval step. Products already on order, as well as products about to expire, are taken into consideration when deciding whether to order more. Atellica Inventory Manager consists of the following hardware components: RFID printer RFID antenna RFID reader RFID handheld Controller PC Hardware Components Learn about Hardware Components Slide NumberText BlocksCalloutsAudio ScriptImage File1RFID Printer Has labels containing a Radio Frequency Identification chip Programs the chip with a unique code for each item Prints date checked in, lot number and expiration date on label   Note: If available, an item may be received pre-labeled. The printed label displays the last 5 digits of the unique code.  Labels that are printed by the RFID printer contain a Radio Frequency Identification chip. At the time of check in, the RFID printer programs the chip with a unique code for each item. This label also shows the date checked in, lot number and expiration date for the item. For items that are pre-labeled (if available), the printed label displays the last 5 digits of the unique code.2Antenna Detects RFID labels within its detection range Sends this information to the RFID Reader via a coaxial cable    The antenna detects RFID labels of items that come within its detection range. The RFID code for an item detected by the antenna is sent to the RFID reader so the item can be decremented from inventory.3RFID Reader Receives RFID codes of items within range of the antenna Sends this information to the web application so item is decremented from inventory Can have up to four antennas attached to it within distance constraints    The RFID reader receives the RFID codes of items within range of the antenna and sends this information to the web application via the Controller PC. Atellica Inventory Manager software then decrements the inventory and marks those items as consumed. 4RFID Handheld Checks in, checks out and transfers inventory items between storage locations Verifies inventory by scanning items in a specified location and sending the results to the web application Results of the scan can be reconciled in the web application, if needed The RFID handheld reads RFID labels and is used to check in, check out and transfer items between storage locations. It also can assist in verifying inventory. The RFID handheld requests inventory information from the Atellica Inventory Manager website for a specified storage location. It then scans items in the location and sends the results of the scan to the web application for further reconciliation if needed. 5Controller PC Transmits inventory data from the RFID reader and RFID handheld to Atellica Inventory Manager web application Transmits data to the RFID handheld and the printer Keyboard, monitor and mouse shown (Controller PC not visible in the image) The Controller PC is provided by the customer and communicates with the RFID devices. It transmits data from the RFID reader and the RFID handheld to the Atellica Inventory Manager web application, as well as transmits data to the RFID handheld and the printer. Please note that the controller PC is not visible in this image. The keyboard, monitor and mouse are shown.
