Input robotic arm: Transfers sample containers onto Atellica Magline® B A Transport carriers on the SHC module B. Output robotic arm: Returns sample containers to the LAS Top down view of SHC TCS: SHC Tube Characterization System (TCS): • An integrated system of 3 cameras that reads the barcodes on the sample containers the SHC transfers from the LAS • The center camera also performs image analysis of the sample containers The cameras are in a triangular arrangement, which provides 360°imaging of • sample containers in the carrier • After the SHC TCS confirms the barcode matches the information from the LAS and determines the tube characteristics, the system routes the carrier to the appropriate analyzer NOTE: Do not position pacemakers or other implanted medical devices closer than 7.5 cm (3 inches) from the Atellica Magline® Transport. Carriers on the Atellica Magline Transport generate strong magnetic fields that can interfere with cardiac medical implants. 3 Effective Date: 2/20/2018 | HOOD05162002777696 Unrestricted © Siemens Healthcare GmbH, 2018 Atellica® Sample Handler Connect SIEMENS Hardware Overview Healthineers 6 Sample Processing Sequence Atellica Magline Transport carrier 1. The LAS provides the sample barcode ID to the system 2 2. The SHC input robotic arm transfers the sample from the LAS to a carrier on the Atellica Magline® Transport 3. The SHC tube characterization system checks the sample barcode to confirm it matches the LAS input • If the barcode information does not match, the system marks the sample as mismatched and the SHC output robot returns it to the LAS OOO • If the barcode information matches, the system identifies the required tests and continues processing the sample 4. The Atellica Magline Transport delivers the carrier and associated sample to the analyzer(s) for LAS carrier aspiration 5. After aspirating all tests, the system returns the sample to the SHC 6. The SHC output robotic arm transfers the sample to the LAS 4 IM Effective Date: 2/20/2018 | HOOD05162002777696 Hardware Overview Unrestricted © Siemens Healthcare GmbH, 2018 SIEMENS Healthineers Please note that the learning material is for training purposes only!
