Task Approximate Time Notes Recovering from a System Power ~15 minutes if the • This would be needed in the event of unscheduled laboratory power loss Disruption UPS allowed for a • proper software The modules each have a UPS to provide battery backup to the PCC and analyzer computers to allow for a software shutdown when a power disruption occurs* shutdown • The power switch on the Decapper may need to be turned off and on Shutting Down the System in an ~20-30 minutes • There is a need to quickly power off the system to ensure the safety of personnel and Emergency / Recovering from a equipment, and the operator is unable to perform a controlled shutdown System Emergency Shut Down • In this case, recommendation is to disconnect each module’s power cord • The recovery time could be longer depending on the reason for the emergency shutdown Stopping Module Processing ~1-10 minutes • There is a need to immediately stop processing tests Immediately • Navigate to the System > Status screen for the module and select the Stop button The step-by-step procedures for each task can be found in the Online Help. 9 Effective Date: 04-MAY-2020 |HOOD05162003086342 Unrestricted © Siemens Healthcare GmbH, 2020 Atellica® Solution SIEMENS Healthineers Rebooting Recovering from a System Power Disruption When a SH power disruption occurs or the operator turns off the SH main power switch: • The SH and SHC covers lock and require manual steps to unlock if there is a need to open the cover. Should this occur, contact the local technical support provider • The Cal-QC refrigeration turns off. If the power is off for more than 1/2 an hour, the operator should manually unload the Cal-QC storage area • The PCC and SH computer initiate a complete shutdown • If power is lost to SH only, the other analyzers continue to process started tests. The analyzers will transfer sample test data to the PCC when power is restored to the SH • All SH and SHC robot movement stops • The system will no longer accept samples from the LAS NOTE: When there is a power disruption or the operator turns off the IM or CH power switch, the reagent refrigeration turns off as well. NOTE: With loss of power, the SH drawers unlock, making the tubes in the drawers accessible. *Refer to Online Help for the complete Recovering from a System Power Disruption procedure. 10 Effective Date: 04-MAY-2020 |HOOD05162003086342 Unrestricted © Siemens Healthcare GmbH, 2020 Atellica® Solution SIEMENS Healthineers Rebooting Task Approximate Time Notes Powering Off the SHC / Starting ~10 minutes • These procedures cover how to perform a full shutdown and then restart the Sample Handler the SHC Connect • As with all the modules, it is recommended to power down the SHC software before turning off the power switches, if possible: • If the system has already come to a stopped state due to an error, use the power icon on the System > Status > SHC screen • If the system is processing, select the Pause button on the System > Status > SHC screen to bring the SHC to the correct state and transfer all tubes back to the LAS as appropriate. Then select the power icon to power down the SHC computer • If tubes need to removed from the area between the LAS and the SHC, refer to information in Online Help or contact the Remote Service Center Powering Off the Decapper / 5-8 minutes • These procedures cover how to shutdown and then restart the Decapper Powering On the Decapper • After the PCC comes back up and the operator logs in, the Decapper requires the operator to select on the System > Status > Decapper screen The step-by-step procedures for each task can be found in the Online Help. 11 Effective Date: 04-MAY-2020 |HOOD05162003086342 Unrestricted © Siemens Healthcare GmbH, 2020 Atellica® Solution SIEMENS Healthineers Rebooting Task Approximate Time Notes Recovering from a Slow User < 5 minutes to sign out • A slow user interface occurs when a window requires more than 5–10 seconds to load Interface → Signing Out of the and back in • System / Signing in to the System This does not apply when data is loading (when features take up to 30 seconds to load) or progress window (indicates time in a progress bar) • Recommend to sign out and back into the system • If a slow user interface persists, restart the PCC Recovering from a Software ~1-10 minutes • When the system displays a blue screen, wait for the display to restore Lockup • In most occurrences, the system requires 1–3 minutes to repair itself. Wait for the system to automatically complete the repairs for a full 10 minutes to avoid canceling or interrupting all patient testing • If the system does not restart after 10 minutes, the PCC automatically restarts. The system logs an event after a successful restart Recovering from a Module Display < 1 minute • The module display may encounter intermittent problems that prevent the operator Lockup from changing screens • Can reset using the reset button on the right side of the module display (need to use a thin object, such as a paper clip). Hold the reset button for 10 seconds • In some cases the analyzer may need to be restarted, this would take additional time The step-by-step procedures for each task can be found in the Online Help. 12 Effective Date: 04-MAY-2020 |HOOD05162003086342 Unrestricted © Siemens Healthcare GmbH, 2020 SIEMENS Healthineers Please note that the learning material is for training purposes only!
