This can be particularly useful during challenging planning situations due to implemented accessories or the body habitus of the patient. Please note that the scan range will be reduced to compensate for the lowered table height. For more information, contact your local Uptime/Customer Care Center. OncoFreeze1 Next generation HD•Chest HD•Chest is an automated solution for PET amplitude-based gating that analyzes each patient’s individual breathing pattern and identifies the portion of the respi¬ratory cycle with the least motion. This area of the cycle is where the most data can be collected, without motion, in the shortest amount of time. Using the list-mode data that synchro- nizes with the optimum area of the respira¬tory curve, a virtually motion-frozen image is reconstructed. Using only selected information from a specific section of the respiratory cycle and “discarding” the rest of the data, conventional respiratory-gated imaging requires longer acquisition times to collect additional statistics, limiting its use as part of clinical routine. 1 This feature is standard provided you are licensed for HD•Chest. Contact your local Siemens Sales Representative for more details. 10 VG70A Upgrade Introduction | Biograph mCT and Biograph mCT Flow Effective Date: 03/28/2018 HOOD05162002851598 Standard Features With OncoFreeze, an optical flow algorithm enables the use of all counts acquired during the acquisition. This allows for images that are virtually free of motion in the same amount of time as a conventional static image. This functionality is embedded in the default protocols as well as your current and existing user-defined protocols. No additional user interaction is required. However, you may want to consider adjusting your current protocol(s) to reduce the previous scan time over the chest and abdomen. Key benefits of OncoFreeze Provides images virtually free of respiratory motion in the same time as a regular • whole-body scan Helps improve delineation and quantification of small lesions, increasing physician • confidence Adapts to each individual’s unique breathing pattern to deliver the best possible image • Simple acquisition with no changes to current workflow • OncoFreeze is an extension of the iterative reconstruction algorithm and is not available for Backprojection reconstructions. Auto statistics Recovery for HD. Chest Auto motion correction Resp. Gating Physio Device HD. Chest Optical Flow (MPOF) CardioFreeze1 Next generation HD•Cardiac CardioFreeze improves upon our existing HD•Cardiac solution by utilizing all statistics acquired during acquisition. It also allows for the acquisition of motion frozen data at the same time as static acquisition. Cardiac images are subject to motion from both the beating heart and breathing. While we can correct the heart motion by acquiring the ECG signal and gating, respiratory motion is not corrected, and can lead to difficulty in precise evaluation of cardiac pathology. CardioFreeze reduces image blur from both cardiac and respiratory motion using only the ECG trigger for gating. Decreasing the blur may improve visualization of myocardial tracer distribution, wall thickness and defect definition. Using optical flow technique, CardioFreeze enables each individual frame to have 100% of the counts up to 24x more in each individual frame than conventional dual gating.1 This improves the signal-to-noise ratio and the image quality. 1 This feature is standard provided you are licensed for HD•Cardiac. Contact your local Siemens Sales Representative for more details. 11 Biograph mCT and Biograph mCT Flow | VG70A Upgrade Introduction Standard Features Key benefits of CardioFreeze Minimizes both cardiac and respiratory motion, utilizing 100% of the information • in each cardiac gate Avoids poor image quality due to cardiac and respiratory motion • Improves signal to noise ratio and image quality • Does not require an external respiratory device • Offers the potential for research on vulnerable plaque • This functionality is embedded in the default protocols as well as your current and existing user-defined protocols. No additional user interaction is required. CardioFreeze is an extension of the iterative reconstruction algorithm and is not available for Backprojection reconstructions. However, PET tracer distribution – a dynamic process altered by a number of factors specific to each organ and region of interest – cannot always be accurately accounted for with SUV. FlowMotion Multiparametric PET Suite introduces an end-to-end clinical solution to provide multiparametric PET images outside of the research setting. The solution is completely automated and integrated into the PET/CT workflow, allowing users to obtain images of SUV, metabolic glucose rate (Ki) and distribution volume (DV) all at once, allowing for: More efficient information for planning and therapy strategy • Acquisitions based on continuous bed motion for a more complete picture • Fast reproduction from original data • Flexible, fully automated acquisition protocol • Whole-body dynamic acquisitions for more complete images • 2 This feature is a purchasable option and will require additional licensing. This feature also requires onsite applications training.
