Task Cards The syngo interface uses task cards to divide imaging and display functions. The active task card appears highlighted. When you change task cards, the menu at the top of the window changes to correspond to the selected task card. Task cards are displayed on both monitors. The primary monitor (right side) has the following task cards: Examination 3D The secondary monitor (left side) has the following task cards: TrueD 3D (option Fused Vision) 3D (extension) Viewing Task Cards The task cards are available on specific monitors. The primary or right monitor will display the Examination and 3D Task Cards. The secondary or left monitor will display the TrueD, 3D and Viewing task cards. ? Subtask Cards On any particular task card, there may be subtask cards which contain groups of parameters controlling different parts of the task. Some examples include: Routine Scan Recon Auto Tasking Replay The active subtask card appears highlighted in white text when it is selected. 1 1 1 2 2 2 3 3 3 4 4 4 5 5 5 Subtask Cards Subtask Cards Layer: On any particular task card, there are subtask cards, which contain groups of parameters controlling different parts of the task. Some examples include scanning, reconstruction, and automatic processing. Select the numbers below to learn more information about each subtask card. Routine Layer: The Routine subtask card is used to set routine PET scanning parameters. For some parameters, the selected protocol determines the default settings. Scan Layer: The Scan Subtask Card is used to set the PET scanning parameters. For some parameters, the selected protocol determines the default settings. Recon Layer: The Recon subtask card is used to set reconstruction parameters for the selected reconstruction job. To create additional reconstruction jobs, select the Recon job bubble at the top of the Recon subtask card. Auto Tasking Layer: The Auto Tasking subtask card is used to set up automated tasks for PET reconstruction, post-processing, and transferring images. For some parameters, the selected protocol determines the default settings. Replay Layer: The Replay Subtask card enables the manipulation of PET listmode data to reconstruct static or dynamic images. Select the replay type from the Replay Type drop-down menu in the Replay subtask card within the PET chronicle. Replay Subtask Card 5 The Replay subtask card enables the manipulation of PET listmode data to reconstruct static or dynamic images. Select the replay type from the Replay Type drop-down menu in the Replay subtask card within the PET chronicle. Available replay types include: Static Dynamic Auto Tasking Subtask Card 4 Use the Auto Tasking subtask card to set up automated tasks for PET reconstruction, postprocessing, and transferring images. For some parameters, the selected protocol determines the default settings. Recon Subtask Card 3 Use the Recon subtask card to set reconstruction parameters for the selected reconstruction job. To create additional reconstruction jobs, select the Recon job bubble at the top of the Recon subtask card. Scan Subtask Card 2 Use the Scan subtask card to set the PET scanning parameters. For some parameters, the selected protocol determines the default settings. Routine Subtask Card Use the Routine subtask card to set routine PET scanning parameters. For some parameters, the selected protocol determines the default settings. 1 ? The Chronicle Active activity indicated by indent Protocol Chronicle displays a list of activities that are performed. Activity Name Reconstruction Jobs indicated by squares The Chronicle The protocol chronicle is a list of the activities that are going to be performed by the protocol you have selected. The active protocol is indented with an arrow on the left. The name of the activity is displayed on the card. The squares indicate reconstruction jobs for that activity. This image provides a closer look at the Chronicle display with the labels showing the Active Activity, Activity Name, and Recon Jobs. ? Status Bar Examination specific information The Status Bar is located at the bottom of the task card display. Select the orange markers below to learn more about the status bar. Warnings, messages, and application icons Storage capacity icons Storage Capacity Icons show available disk space on the MARS, IRS, and syngo Acquisition Workplace (ICS) Status Bar The message area at the bottom of the user interface displays information, errors, and/or instructions. The area is subdivided into several sections: The left side contains examination-specific information. The center contains warnings and messages. If functions are being executed in the background, you will see the application as an icon on the right. Storage capacity icons showing available disk space on the MARS (pronounced “mars”), IRS (pronounced “I-R-S”), and syngo Acquisition Workplace (also referred to as ICS) are displayed on the right side. You can use your mouse to hover over the icons to display the available storage capacity. Storage capacity indicators turn red when disk space is running low. When the storage space turns red, it will be necessary to delete older or unnecessary data. ? PET Cine Display Cine Playback Window displays a rotating MIP image constructed from individual frames. The PET Cine Display feature is located under the Options menu. It is a MIP generated image. The visual representation is not intended for diagnosis purposes. Each frame represents an intensity projection from a different angle. Select the orange markers to the right to learn more about the PET Cine Display. Pause Button use to pause the rotation of the MIP image Current Frame Rate LUT Dropdown Menu use to select the LUT applied to the image PET Cine Display The PET Cine (pronounced "sin-ee") Display is accessible from the main menu by selecting Options > PET Cine Display. As the image is reconstructed, a multi-frame Maximum Intensity Projection (or MIP (pronounced “mip”)) image is generated in the PET Cine Display window. The MIP (pronounced “mip”) provides visual confirmation of the selected reconstruction job. However, the MIP (pronounced “mip”) image is not intended for diagnosis. Each frame represents an intensity projection from a different angle. The Cine playback window displays a rotating MIPs image constructed from individual frames. The pause button is used to pause the rotation of the MIP image. The current frame rate can be changed by entering a new value, or using the up and down buttons to advance the frame rate in single frame increments. The width value is the range of the grayscale values displayed. The smaller the width the greater the contrast. The center value is the midpoint of the grayscale at the midpoint of the window range and therefore the brightest level of the image. Finally, use the LUT (pronounced: L-U-T) pulldown menu to select the LUT applied to the image. ? Course Review Congratulations. You have completed the Biograph Vision Quadra™ User Interface course.
