The window is accessed through the CentraLink system toolbar: Start > Routine > Review and Edit Hematology and allows the operator to: Display attached documents Access Diff Pad Revert samples Validate samples Validate test groups Generate sample reports View previous runs Request a rerun Review QC associated with the sample Edit a result manually Describe the function of the iExpert button Changes color to alert the operator to new information Provides context-sensitive access to International Society of Laboratory Hematology (ISLH) consensus rules Suggests operator actions based on ISLH rules Customizable to reflect laboratory workflow and standard operating procedures Customize Diff Pad Select  to navigate to the Diff Pad from the Hematology Review and Edit Window .  Cells can be counted in the following ways:   Formula: The counted cells for this test will be added to the total number of counted cells. Separate: The counted cells for this test will not be added to the total number of counted cells.(i.e. NRBC's can be separated from the 100 cell count) The CentraLink system has a Preconfigured Diff Pad with typical white blood cells; however, this can be configured and additional Diff Pads can be added. (e.g. Body Fluid Diff Pad) Attach a file to a result A maximum of ten documents and 10MB of data can be attached to a sample record in the CentraLink system.  To attach a document: Right-select the sample and select Related>Document Documents of sample browser window will display Drag and drop the required files into the Documents of sample browser window Select Next to continue. Sample and Patient Information Areas Window information and layout are customizable. Note: All samples without a rack are sorted under the hard coded rack name for manual. Test Groups Three of the four browsers can be customized to display a Hematology Test Group from the drop down list.  The Other browser contains all the tests not displayed in the other browsers. Results Comments Area Displays all comments associated with the sample results. Flags Displays all flags associated with the sample results. Hematology Review and Edit Window The Hematology Review and Edit window is used in the result and sample management of all hematology samples. Select InstrumentsHTML To begin the process of building a new DiffPad: Select the Instruments, then select the New icon from the Windows toolbar. Setup InstrumentHTML Select a name for the Diff pad.  In this example we are building a Body Fluid Diff pad Select the Type: Diff pad Select OK Associate TestsHTML Right-select the new Diff pad. Select Related > Tests and select New from the Windows toolbar to begin adding the tests associated with the new Diff pad. Configure Counter KeysHTML Each test associated with a Diff pad must have a counter key defined to begin using the Diff pad.  To assign counter key labels: Double click on the test from the Tests on Instrument browser window to open the Method window Select the Diff pad tab Choose a Counter key label from the key board and select the Count method: Formula or Separate Select OK and select Close on the Tests on Instrument window Select Diff padHTML When the Diff pad icon is selected from the Hematology Review and Edit screen, a choice of Diff pad options will appear.  Choose the required Diff pad to begin your count. Select the X in the upper-right corner to close the window and continue.
