Download and print a copy of the Course Review.   List the steps to configure My Counters on the Sample Status Overview window The Sample Status Overview screen provides a list of the number of samples at each sample state. To access the Sample Status Overview screen, from the menu bar, select Start > Routine > Samples > Status Overview. User-defined counters can be created in the My counters section of the Sample status overview window: Select the ellipsis button at the right of a counter in the Sample Status Overview window Using the Sample query window, define the counter and select OK Use the text box to label the counter based on the query parameters set in teh Sample Query screen Select the checkbox next to the new counter and select the Refresh button to update the counter List the steps to create user identifications When creating a new user: Only the Login name is mandatory; all other fields are optional A password can be created for the new user The following roles can be assigned to a new user: Guest User System Manager To create a new user: Select the Users icon from the Function toolbar Select the New icon from the Function toolbar Enter the Login name and any other desired information Select OK Right-select the user name in Active users browser and select Change password Enter the password in New and Verification fields Right-select the user name in Active users browser > User Role Assignments In the Function toolbar, select New In the User role assignment window, select the desired role Select OK > OK Select Cancel > Close > Close  To disable a user: Log in with a System Manager account Select the Users icon Double-select the user login you wish to disable Unselect the Enable checkbox   Describe how to document events in instrument logs Events and comments can be documented in the Instrument logs. If desired, the event or comment can be indicated by a dotted vertical line, code and event type on the QC graph of the corresponding QC population(s). To document an event in the instrument log: Select the Instruments icon from the Function toolbar Right-select Instrument > Related > Instrument logs Select the New icon from the Function toolbar Enter the information in the Instrument Log window: If the event or comment is specific to a method double select the Method field and double select the method Enter the Event time Select the Event type - Log, Maintenance, Calibration, Reagent change Select Show on qc graph if desired Enter the user’s initials in the Code field Free text the description of the event Free text the comment Select OK Select Next to continue. The Sample Status Overview screen provides a list of the number of samples at each sample state. To access the Sample Status Overview screen, from the menu bar, select Start > Routine > Samples > Status Overview. User-defined counters can be created in the My counters section of the Sample status overview window to track critical conditions important to the customer, such as status of critical tests. For example, samples with a Troponin test in the Review status for longer than a set period of time. Create My Counters Learn how to create user-defined counters. Disable a User Account Learn how to disable a user account. Log in with a System Manager account to make the following changes: Select the Users icon Double-select the user login you wish to disable Unselect the Enable checkbox The user will now be classified as an inactive user. When complete, select the X in the upper-right corner to close the window and continue. Events and comments can be documented in the Instrument logs.  If desired, the event or comment can be indicated by a dotted vertical line, code and event type on the Levey-Jennings Graph window of the corresponding QC population(s). This is useful for example if you want to indicate in the Levey-Jennings graph when you have performed an instrument calibration. Select the Instruments icon from the Function toolbar Right-select Instrument > Related > Instrument logs Select the New icon from the Function toolbar Enter the information in the Instrument Log window: If the event or comment is specific to a method double select the Method field and double select the method Enter the Event time Select the Event type - Log, Maintenance, Calibration, Reagent change Select Show on qcgraph if desired Enter the user’s initials in the Code field Free the text description of the event Free the text comment Select OK When complete, select the X in the upper-right corner to close the window and continue.
