Welcome to the CentraLink® Data Management System Monitor Quality Control online training course.  Monitoring quality control is a key component of the CentraLink system.  QC is monitored through an intuitive user interface and allows the operator to evaluate, print and export QC data as well as quickly investigate patient results when QC is out. Generate Reports by QC Lot Learn how to generate reports by QC lot. Generate Reports by QC Lot Select Start > Routine > Quality control > QC Lots > By lot number Select one or more lot numbers Right-select > Report Format: Text HTML – displays/prints one continuous report per lot which includes statistics and Levey-Jennings graph for each QC population in that lot Text – displays/prints one continuous report per lot which includes statistics for each QC population in that lot Enter date range Select Sort by: Instrument or Test; if sorted by Test enables side by side comparison of values from like instruments Select OK   When complete, select the X in the upper-right corner to close the window and continue. Display Patient Samples Between QC Points  Patient samples can be displayed from the QC results (Across controls view) window to assist in troubleshooting quality control failures and their effect on patient results. Navigate to the QC Results (Across controls view) window Select two QC results from the same population and right-select Choose Display patient samples between QC points from the drop down menu   Select Next to continue. QC results may be assigned a method severity related to Westgard rule violations and instrument flags.  Once a method severity has been identified and corrective action taken, the severity must be reset. Reset Method Severities for an Individual Test Learn how to reset method severities for an individual test. QC blocking is a feature that allows the user to define test groups so that when a QC result triggers the QC severity of a test's method, the methods of the other tests in this group will display the same QC severity.   Note: A test cannot belong to more than one QC Blocking test group.
