Cleaning and Disinfection Guide Cios Select Before cleaning or disinfecting the Cios Select, ensure that the system is disconnected from the power supply and switched off. Prior to the examination: Prior to each examination, clean all parts that come into contact with the patient, to prevent contamination of the Cios Select. Make sure that any dust on the housing of the flat detector, the single tank and the C-arm are removed. Cleaning the system parts:  Clean the system parts with a damp cloth.  For moistening, use water or a lukewarm diluted aqeous solution, consisting of water and a household cleaning agent.  Cleaning agents and disinfectants containing chlorine derivatives can discolor cables, but will not negatively impact system functions.  Never immerse system parts (except the footswitch) in liquid or autoclave system parts. Cleaning the screen surfaces/TFT displays: The screen surfaces can be cleaned at any time.  Clean the monitor screen with a cotton cloth dampened with water.  Immediately dry off the monitor screen with a soft cotton cloth.  Wipe off contrast agent spots as soon as possible. Disinfection:  For the disinfection of surfaces we recommend liquid solutions of common surface disinfectants based on on aldehyde and/or amphoteric surfactants, e.g. Tensodur 103, Kohrsolin, Cidex.  Certain substituted phenol-based or chlorine –splitting disinfectants can corrodematerials and are therefore not recommended. The concentration of such substances in the air must not exceed the legally defined limt. We recommend that you follow the manufacturers’ usage instructions for these products (active ingredient class). The following active ingredient classes may be used to clean and disinfect the Cios Select:  Aldehydes, alkylamines, quaternary compounds, guanidine derivatives, peroxide compounds, organic acids, chlorine derivatives, alcohol, benzene, vcommon household dishwashing liquids, detergents.
