Cios Spin: How to Perform a 3D Spin

Welcome to training on how to perform a 3D spin using the Co spin system. Before we dive into this tutorial video, let's first examine what actions must be performed prior to beginning a 3D spin. You will first need to take an AP and lateral view of the area you wish to be in your scan, ensuring your image is isocenter. This is done in the fluoro or single image mode. Press the motorized buttons on the control until your image is isocenter. Once your image is isocenter, you will select 3D scan on the control panel. You will then be taken to the configure scan screen. Here you will select this scan quality you desire by touching the appropriate scan. We recommend high quality which is a 30 second scan with 400 images. Next, select the patient system relation icon and choose the correct orientation of your patient as well as the system position by selecting which side of the patient your see arm is positioned. You will then be prompted to perform a collision, check. The collision check ensures the see Arm will clear the table, patient or any other objects that may be in the area of the scan. To begin, start the collision check over the top of the patient, as shown by the image on screen. This can be done by using the motorized buttons on the control panel, or by using the manual lock. You will be prompted to go under the table to set into position for the collision check. Once the collision check is complete, the screen will automatically switch to the scan screen. Here you will have 180 seconds to begin your scan. You can begin anytime by pressing and holding the exposure button on the hand control or by using the footswitch. Let's begin the 3D scan now. When the scan is complete, you will hear a chime. And see the 3D reconstruction message on the monitor. Your scan is now complete.
