Clearing Atellica® IM Analyzer Cuvette Jams Video Version 1.25 and Below

This video will explain how to clear cuvette jams on the Atellica® IM Analyzer. 

This video will show the procedure that can be used to clear cuvette jams on the atellica. I am analyzer. First ensure that the I am analyzer is in the stop state by selecting the system button on the command bar. Next select status. Then select the atellica. I am analyzer icon. If the analyzer is not already stopped, select the pause button to allow the system to complete any testing. Currently in process the system will pause and then go to stop state. Then unlock the. I am back cover. And open the I am back cover. You must open the cover within 30 seconds of unlocking, otherwise the cover will relock. Move the reagent probes to the left side and out of the way while avoiding pushing on the probe tips. The probe tips are sharp and can cause harm. Be careful not to bend the probes. Also, be careful not to let the probes drop as this can bend or damage the probes. Locate the three Cuvette channel covers and inspect the channel for jams. There is a cover near the incubation ring loader. One in the middle. And a third cover near the cuvet pusher. There will be Velcro straps securing the covers to the channels. The number of straps may vary. Remove each of the Velcro straps by unfastening and opening each strap. If appropriate, remove the cuvet channel cover nearest the incubation ring loader by pulling up on the tab. Next, if appropriate, remove the cover from the Middle Cuvet channel section in the same manner. If appropriate, next remove the cover from the section nearest the cuvet pusher. Before removing this cover, first place a paper towel under the Cuvet channel area near the pusher to catch any cue vets. When removing the cuvet pusher section, be careful not to bend the pin on the cuvet pusher bracket. Remove the cover by sliding it back and lifting upward. Inspect the cuvet drop location and remove any jammed cue vets. Ensure the qubits can move freely in the cuvet channel. It is recommended to remove at least one or two cubits from the cube at channel to make sure the cuvet scan move freely. Replace the pusher area channel cover as you are reinstalling. The channel covers. Ensure the cube at channel cover tabs aligned and insert into the track notches and then remove the paper towel. Replace the Middle channel cover. Reinstall the channel cover nearest the incubation ring loader. Replace all of the Velcro straps. When replacing the Velcro straps, be sure to pull the straps tight so they have a tight hold on the channel cover. Move the reagent probes back to the right so they are over their wash stations. Close the IM cover. To complete this procedure, resume the IM analyzer by selecting the resume button on the IM System status screen to bring the analyzer back to the ready state.
