The touch screen allows the user operate the system with their finger. Select Next to continue. 2 Printer: Internal thermal printer Automatically print completed results Reprint stored results   Select Next to continue. The CLINITEK Advantus Analyzer onboard thermal printer can automatically print completed test results, if this option is selected. Select Next to continue. 3 Strip Loading Station: Test strip loading area Push bar moves strip to incubation/read station   Select Next to continue. The CLINITEK Advantus Analyzer strip loading station allows the user to load a test strip for analysis. Once the test strip has been loaded, the push bar moves the test strip to the incubation/read station. Select Next to continue. 4 Incubation/read Station: Incubates test strip Analyzes/scans the test strip   Select Next to continue. The CLINITEK Advantus Analyzer incubation and read station incubates and analyzes the test strip. The push bar moves the test strip through the read area and the analyzer performs an infrared scan on the urine strip to detect the strip type prior to analyzing the test strip. Select Next to continue. 5 Waste bin: Stores used test strips Empty frequently to prevent jams  When complete, select the X in the upper-right corner to close the window and continue. The CLINITEK Advantus Analyzer waste bin stores used test strips. Test strips automatically advance to the waste bin when the test has completed. When complete, select the X in the upper-right corner to close the window and continue. You can access all tests through the Ready/Run screen. The information and instruction area displays system settings or user input, and provides instructions for the user. The analyzer will inactivate keys when the function is unavailable. The help key is located in the upper-right corner of the screen and displays information about the screen. The help key is not available on all screens. The stop run key is used to cancel a run or the last strip. The CLINITEK Advantus® analyzer menu screen allows the user to configure a variety of analyzer settings. The setup options are used to customize the analyzer for use in your laboratory. Attaching a computer keyboard to the analyzer allows the user to easily enter test strip information. The barcode reader allows the user to scan or enter information. This function allows data to be transmitted to the host computer or laboratory system. Callouts Power cord connector Power switch The CLINITEK Advantus Analyzer power supply is located on the rear of the analyzer. The power switch turns the system power on and off, and is located near the rear on the left side of the analyzer. It is important to power the analyzer off when performing maintenance.
