Updating Instrument Settings Video

This video provides instructions on how to update the instrument settings on your CLINITEK Status®+ Analyzer, including enabling the connectivity platform and changing the units displayed on the system.

While the startup wizard sets up functions to get started on the analyzer, you may need to customize those settings to meet the requirements of your workplace. To begin, click instrument setup. The instrument settings screens control the way the analyzer operates and displays information. Click select. The results format option is used to determine how test results will be displayed and printed. Click the select button. Unit selection options include conventional standard, international and Nordic, the Plus System option is enabled when your facility requires results shown with the plus symbol rather than in clinical units. Click next to continue. Enabling the mark positive results option will generate an* next to any positive results on the display on a printout, and when the data is transferred to a host computer. You can also enable or disable the storing of the instrument serial number in patient records. Click done to continue. Highlight system settings, then click select. If this feature is selected, at least one operator ID must be created. Click the add operator button. For this example. We will use the preferred keypad setting an enter a numeric operator ID 9265. Then click enter. The authorized operator screen appears, confirming the entry and displaying those functions that have been enabled for this specific operator. These functions can be disabled or enabled through the edit function. It is recommended that the first operator be the manager or supervisor, since this first operator identified will be given full access to the analyzer to avoid accidental lockout, click done to proceed. The operator's list now includes the new entry. Click exit to continue. Click done to return to the instrument settings screen. Highlight printer settings, then click select. Use this screen to choose what information appears on the results printout, including custom headers as well as selecting an output printer. Click next. For information on QC settings, refer to the clinic Tech Status Connect System operators guide. Press select to perform software updates. Place the memory stick provided by Siemens with the updated software into the USB port on the back of the connector. Select install software to begin the installation process. The analyzer will turn ODF and will automatically turn on after three minutes. Do not remove the memory stick until the installation process is complete. Click done to continue.
