Creating QC Definitions on the Atellica® Solution Video Version 1.25 and Below

This video provides instructions on how to create QC definitions on the Atellica® Solution.  For optimal viewing, select the arrows on the right of the playbar after the video begins.

To create a QC definition at the Command bar, select QC. Then select the QC definitions tab. Select the Add QC definition button. Enter a control name. Enter the control lot number. Select this specimen type from the dropdown menu. Enter the control ID, which is a unique ID used to identify this control. Enter the control lot expiration date by using the drop down calendar. Select the control type from the dropdown menu. Select the level from the dropdown menu. Select an option for usage from the dropdown menu. If the QC material will be stored in Calc Torridge area, select the store on board checkbox. To enable the QC lot to be configured to run automatically with calibrations, select the perform with calibration checkbox. To enable the QC lot to be configured to run automatically with the reagent pack change, select the perform QC on pack change checkbox. Select the test from the tests list. Enter the standard deviation. Enter the target ranges by entering either the low and high limits or the mean an plus or minus range. If the low and high limits are entered, the mean and range will automatically be calculated. If the mean and range are entered, the low and high limits will automatically be calculated. Enter the open stability daizan the open stability hours. Additional tests and targets can be added to the control definition as appropriate. When all tests and targets have been added, select the save button. The control definition now displays on the QC definition screen. To edit an existing QC definition, select the checkbox for the QC definition and then select the Edit View button. Edit The target values by either selecting the low high mean or plus or minus range field and entering the new value or select the observed ranges button to set the target values to be the same as the current observed ranges. On the QC observed ranges screen, select the checkboxes for the tests that you want to copy the ranges for and then select the copy button. The target values for the test have now been set to be the same as the current observed ranges. Select save to save the new ranges. This completes the overview of creating and editing QC definitions.
