CT for Hybrid Imaging Workshop Part 1 - SPECT

The purpose of this 4 hour workshop is to familiarize the attendee with the subject of CT for nuclear medicine technologists involved in hybrid imaging. In part 1 of this workshop, the topics will include basic x-ray production, CT hardware to include x-ray tubes, high voltage generators, collimation and detectors. The workshop will also include CT acquisition parameters that include CT scanning methods, mAs, kVp, slice thickness and pitch. Lastly, the workshop will conclude with a discussion on CT dose reduction and contrast media.
