Dimension Software Version 10.4 Update – New Quality Control Features Video

The Dimension Software has been updated to include several new QC features including:
  • The addition of new and redefined QC fluid levels
  • The ability to define a new QC product by copying an existing one and defining a QC panel immediately after defining a QC product
  • QC product definitions now containing up to 100 methods
  • And defining and configuring a QC product for H.I.L.

Dimension Software version 10.4 update new quality control features video. The dimension software has been updated to include several new QC features, including the addition of new and redefined QC fluid levels. The ability to define a nuke product by copying an existing one and defining a QC panel immediately after defining a QC product QC. Product definitions now containing up to 100 methods. And defining and configuring a QC product for tile. The system has been enhanced by the addition of new QC levels. The following have been added. Serum QC levels four and five urine QC Level 3 and two levels of CSF whole Blood QC. These have been named Khuan and two. These new levels cannot be turned on for Kal Active. Therefore, these new levels cannot be run during calibration and can only be run for standalone QC. Until these QC levels are enabled, you are not able to make changes in the QC ranges screen or see the new levels in other screens. Enabling the new an redefined QC fluid levels. Your LS middleware ank control applications must be configured with appropriate codes prior to use of the new QC. Fluid levels refer to the Dimension Interface specification. Ellis guide For more information. Users with communication configuration privileges are able to enable the new and redefine QC fluid levels by performing the following procedure. Navigate to F6 system config. F4 computer. F4 communications in the enable additional QC fluid levels. Area press enter. A popup window warning about the configuration of the Ellis middleware displays. In the popup window, select yes. If the Ellis middleware is correctly configured. The enable additional QC fluid levels value toggles to on note if no is selected, the additional QC fluid levels remain disabled. Select F2 stored changes. Defining a nuke product by copying an existing product and defining a QC panel immediately after defining a nuke product. When copying QC products, the function button has changed from F5 load from product to F5 copy from product. The product definition can be edited after copying then stored. To define a new QC product by copying one, perform the following procedure. From the Home screen, select F5 process control. F3 QC status. F2 Edit QC product to display the Edit QC product screen. Select the product to copy and select F5 copy from product the Define QC product screen displays. Change the QC lot number. Note to delete the current lot number. Select shift delete. Press enter after changing the lot number. The method selection screen will come up after pressing enter. Select exit to keep the methods previously listed. Select F7, store the prompt. Do you want to define a QC panel for this product? Yes or no will display. Select yes note the creative panel popup window also displays when defining a new product without copying. Select F5, assign sample ID, enter the sample ID for the panel. Press enter. Select F7 store. The system returns to the edit QC product screen to define the next level. It should be noted that QC panels can still be created using F5 process control. F3 QC status, F6 defined QC panels. Defining and configuring a QC product for hle serum indices. The system has been enhanced by the ability to support QC ranges for hle serum indices. This allows for the use of commercially available QC products to test the instrument's response to hemolyzed icteric and like emic samples. It is important to note that HILQC is optional and not required to utilized the tile indices feature for patient samples. As with other QC products, HECH can be set up to run on a schedule. QC out of range alerts will post for any parameter HI or L in the active lot, which is out of the configured range. Hill QC results are transmitted to the Ellis and are reported on the QC printouts and QC results screens. However, mixing hi L QC methods with non HBCU see methods within one QC. Product definition is prohibited. Once a designated Helk product in cpanel has been created, serum QC ranges can be programmed by performing the following procedure. From the Home screen, select F5 process control. F4 QC ranges. Select the hi Lasse from the method selection panel. Refer to the target ranges in the commercial QC product. If you to determine whether it is necessary to convert to the index values specified in this table. The table can be found in the defining and configuring a QC product for Hle section of the Dimension System software version 10.4 release notes. For this example, the target values from the biorad liquid check serum indices Insert Sheet will be used. An example of this conversion with target values from the biorad serum indices lke product is shown here, with the equivalent dimension index values. For each serum QC level, enter the QC range. Hi and L index values can be programmed from one to six. The values for the low and high must be identical for each serum QC level. For example 312 to 312. 142 to 142113 to 113 in this example, a positive hemolysis index is represented by serum QC 180 wrist by QC two and lipemia by serum QC 3. Each level corresponds to a significant elevation of hemolysis, icterus or lipemia, based on a manufacturers insert sheet. The tile index ranges from one to six, with each value correlating to an approximate concentration in milligrams per deciliter for each potential interferent. In this example, serum QC one ranges have been programmed as 312 to 312, with the three corresponding to the level of hemolysis. It is important to note that based on the approximate concentration of hemolysis listed in the manufacturer's insert sheet when tested on the Dimension, Excel and H value of three or two would be acceptable due to the close conversion. When programming hekt ranges, enter a value between one and six for each corresponding index. For serum QC, one serum QE, two and serum QC 3. Again, it is required that low an high values be the same for any hcir MQC level. Being entered here are the values from the table previously shown. Mean or SD cannot be entered for hle values. Confirm all values, then select F2 store changes.
