To use the Auto feature, configure the automatic rerun and automatic dilutions fields on the System Configuration screen to ON. Use the Operator's Guide, Customizng section to locate the auto dilute volumes for each method. Set up these auto dilute volumes on the Method Parameters screen. Program Automatic Urine Dilutions The system performs AUD for BUN, Creatinine, Phosphorous and Uric Acid tests when the sample fluid type is urine. On the Enter Data screen, change the fluid type to urine. The system then automatically dilutes the sample times 10. Once the tests have been processed, review the results on the Test Results screen. Program Manual Dilutions Setup manual dilutions if the test result is above the assay range or if the system diluted the results and the result is still above the assay range. Prepare an off-board dilution with the diluent identified in the Method Instruction for Use. The system automatically calculates the final result if the dilution factor is entered in the Enter Data screen. Select Next to continue.     The Dimension System can perform two types of automatic dilutions: Automated Urine Dilutions (AUD) - for BUN, CREA, PHOS and URCA Autodilute (AD) - user programmable for urine and serum/plasma samples The system also provides a manual dilution option.
