Replacing IMT Probe Video

On the dimension Vista 500 system, the IMT probe is located on the left end of the sample arm and on the Dimension Vista, 1500 system. It sits on the left end of sample ARM 2. Release the left and center lid interlocks and raise both lids for access to the area. Push the front of the low side vessel Holder Tored the instrument. Locate the IMT probe and unscrew the black and green fittings from the top of the probe assembly. Unlatch the metal clip and lift off the probe assembly that holds the probe in place. Then while holding the IMT probe at the top lifted straight up and out of the black Holder. Hold the new probe with a clip facing tordue and carefully place it down into the Holder, being careful not to push down. Next, reposition the clip to the proper holding position and once the probe is seated, reattach the fittings to the probe assembly. The IMT probe is color coded to make the replacement easier. The black fitting connects on the left and the green fitting on the right. Each time a probe is replaced, the instrument must verify that it is properly aligned once complete. In addition to verifying the alignment, the instrument also resets the counts for the replaced probe. Close the lids and be sure to return the front of the low side vessel Holder to its normal position when finished.
