Checklist TitleChecklist TypeChecklist ContentOff-Peak Activity OverviewHTML The Off- Peak Activities screen provides the following information: the recently completed or processing tasks with time and date a list of the next scheduled tasks, including methods to be calibrated and hydrated To view upcoming tasks from the Home screen, press View Current Activities button, then the Off-Peak button. The times are recorded, when the Off-Peak tasks are started and finished, therefore you can determine how long they took to perform. Note: These activities are performed in the background by the system and do not interfere with normal processing (except for the Probe Test).  Select each checkbox to learn more about tasks performed during Off-Peak Activities on the Dimension Vista® System.  Run Probe TestHTML   If configured, the Probe Test is the first task to be performed during Off-Peak Activities.  During this test, the alignments, tubing integrity and air pressure for each probe are verified.  Results for each probe will display when the test is complete.  In addition, there are utilities such as drains, motors and electronics that are checked by the system and may generate a process error if something requires additional attention.   If successful, the system will automatically reset and continue processing. Tip:  If the Probe Test fails, the system will display a red alert of Probe Test Failed, the operator will need to investigate the error.   Routine IMT CleanHTML A Routine IMT clean is the second task performed during Off-Peak Activities.  This will help keep the V-LYTE® System running smoothly.    Discard Expired Aliquot PlatesHTML An aliquot plate is considered expired after all of the samples on the plate have expired.  The expired plates are removed from the clip and discarded by the waste mechanism of the aliquot processing module during Off-Peak Activities.   Backup DatabaseHTML A backup of the database is performed daily during the Off-Peak activities period.  This is an important preventative measure, ensuring a backup copy of data is always available and reducing the database size to ensure the Dimension Vista® System continues to run effectively.   Hydrate ReagentsHTML   Some reagents require hydration, mixing, or venting prior to their use on the Dimension Vista® System.  During this scheduled activity, the system will request a preparation of any reagent Flex® cartridge that will be used within the next 24 hours.  Note: The reagent Flex® cartridge must be on the storage ring for it to be hydrated or vented.  An important step to prepare for off-peak activities in your lab will be to ensure that an adequate supply of reagents has been loaded on the system 60 minutes prior to the start of these activities.  Order CalibrationsHTML When methods are about to expire, the system will automatically calibrate if configured.  Note: An important step to prepare for Off-Peak Activities in your lab will be to ensure an adequate supply of calibrator and QC product has been loaded on the system.   Zip Millipore Data FilesHTML Another task performed during off-peak activities is to zip Millipore data files. When complete, select the X in the upper-right corner to close the window and continue.     Off-Peak Activity configuration options:   Off-Peak Activities Start Hour Off-Peak Activities Stop Hour Automatically Run Probe Test If the Probe Test is configured to run during Off-Peak Activities, is there a way to verify the system has begun testing?  Note: This information is shared on both sides of a Dimension Vista®1000T/3000T System.  Use the instrument tab name to designate left or right instrument. Welcome to the Virtual Chemistry Lab! Once a time has been selected for Ooff-Ppeak Aactivities to occur on the system and the decision has been made regarding when the Probe Test will run, these features can be configured for each instrument. When these decisions are being made, it is important to realize that even though a 4 hour window of time is entered for the instrument to perform these tasks, it does not mean the instrument requires 4 hours to complete this process. The actual length of time will vary in each laboratory, depending on the number of reagents that require preparation and the number calibrations that need to be processed.. If we need to enter configuration details for the system, do you know which icon should be selected to get started?2Off-Peak Activities Configuration: On the Advanced screen, select the Configuration iconGood job!
