DSA Roadmap (CLEARmap) VC21-VD11 Job Aid

This job aid will describe the workflow to create a DSA Roadmap.  Additional roadmap functions are also described.

DSA Roadmap (CLEARmap) (VC21 – VD11) Job Aid Advanced Therapies – Artis Software VC21 to VD11. **There is an additional job aid availa- ble on PEPconnect to determine SW version of the system. DSA Roadmap allows the user to take a reference image of a DSA acquisition and convert it into a roadmap (subtracted fluoro). There are four workflows that could be implemented based on the order in which the user selects the icons. The overall idea is to use an existing DSA reference im- age with or without max opacification. There are four workflows that can be implemented for DSA Roadmap. 1. Perform a DSA acquisition. DO NOT move table or c-arm after this acquisition. 2. Perform Workflow #1 or #2. Workflow #1 (MAX OPAC is unchecked in organ program) • Select desired image (with or without manually applying MAX OPAC post pro- cessing) and create a Reference image. The reference image may be stored on the Assist monitor or the Reference monitor. It does not matter which monitor is used. The active monitor, if it has an image displayed, will be used for the DSA Roadmap. To change to a specific monitor, use the REF/AS icon on the touch screen or in the control room Examination taskcard. REF AS • Create a reference image by using the touch screen joystick middle mouse button, the touch screen icon, or from the control room Examination taskcard. User can choose to store a different reference image and override automatic image. • This organ program configuration is not accessible by the user. Please contact Sie- mens representative to set this configuration if needed. 3. After the reference image is created or to create the automatic reference image, select DSA Roadmap icon from control room Examination taskcard or from the touch screen at tableside. A blank screen will then display but STAY ON fluoro pedal until image subtracts with refer- ence image being displayed on the LIVE monitor. THIS WILL TAKE A COUPLE OF SEC- ONDS. 5. Continue to fluoro while advancing catheter, wire, devices, etc. When DSA Roadmap is no longer needed, deselect icon. Keep in mind that any movement of the c-arm and flat detector will automatically deactivate DSA Roadmap. User would then be required to perform another DSA acquisition in the new position and repeat above steps if DSA Roadmap is still needed. Automap will NOT work with DSA Roadmap. System will return to reference position BUT NO roadmap will be displayed. Workflows #3 and #4 These two workflows start with DSA Roadmap icon being activated BEFORE a DSA acquisition is performed. Again, the organ program parameter MAX OPAC is considered. 1. Select DSA Roadmap icon from control room Examination taskcard or from the touch screen at tableside. 2. Perform a DSA acquisition. DO NOT move table or c-arm after this acquisition. 3. A reference image is stored to the Assist or Reference screen from workflow #3 or #4. Workflow #3 (MAX OPAC is unchecked in organ program) • User manually selects a reference image (with or without manually applying MAX OPAC post processing). Workflow #4 (MAX OPAC is checked in the organ program) • Upon completion of the DSA acquisition, the system will automatically display a MAX OPAC reference image. • User can choose to store a different reference image and override automatic image. 4. Once a reference image is stored (automatically or manually), perform fluoroscopy. Initial image displayed on the LIVE monitor will be a fluoro image. A blank screen will then dis- play, but STAY ON fluoro pedal until image subtracts with reference image being displayed on the LIVE monitor. THIS WILL TAKE A COUPLE OF SECONDS. 5. Additional Roadmap Functions When using DSA Roadmap, the below listed functions may be applied as needed. Vessel/Catheter Contrast Percentage (VC/CC%) • This function allows user to adjust the catheter (wire, device, etc.) and vessel contrast percentages independently. The percentages are displayed in the lower right corner of LIVE image. • Activate from the touchscreen icon or from the PostProc taskcard main menus in the control room. The percentage cannot be adjusted during live fluoro. • To adjust the vessel contrast, move the joystick up and down. VC% can be adjusted from 0 - 200%. • To adjust the wire/catheter contrast, move the joystick left to right. CC% can be adjusted from 50 - 200%. Vessel / Catheter Contrast ?
