Emptying the Solid Waste on the Atellica® IM Analyzer Video Version 1.25 and Below

This video will show you the steps for how to empty the solid waste on the Atellica Immunoassay Analyzer. The solid waste includes used kovetz and sample tips. The inventory icon on the command bar will alert the user when the waste needs to be emptied. After selecting the inventory icon on the Command bar, select the Supplies overview tab. And then select the immuno assay module graphic. Locate the status of the cuvet and tip waste. A yellow triangle indicates cuvet waste or sample tip waste is greater than or equal to 90% of its capacity or the way status is OK and the operator has removed the waste bin. A red triangle indicates the waist level is full. To empty the solid waste, open the solid waste door. Hold the solid waste drawer out. The drawer will come out completely. Hold on to the drawer as you are moving it to ensure it does not fall. Remove the solid waste bins and empty the contents of the bins into a laboratory approved container for bio hazardous waste to facilitate solid waste bin removal, grasp the bin with both hands and shake slightly. Return the empty solid waste bins to the solid waste drawer. Slide the solid waste drawer into position by properly aligning the drawer. Push the drawer in an close the solid waste door. To confirm the cuvet waste is empty, select yes on the primary display or module display when prompted.
