This course will cover the following three objectives. ? epoc Reader The epoc Reader is a simple-to-use raw signal acquisition peripheral. The Reader has a card slot for accepting a Test Card and an Electro-Mechanical Actuation Assembly for engaging the Test Card after it is inserted into the card slot. Select the markers on the left to learn more about the epoc Reader. Docking Pivot The Docking Pivot provides a physical link between the epoc Reader and Host. A pocket in the Docking Pivot accepts the blade section of the Host Cradle. Battery Status Indicator When the Reader is powered on and the battery status indicator shows a solid amber light, the battery to the reader is fully charged. If the Reader shows a flashing amber light, the Reader is powered on and the battery is charging. Test Status Indicator The test status indicator will light up green or red. If the solid green light is visible, the Reader is processing a test. If a solid red light is visible, the Reader shows an error which needs to be resolved before processing tests. Power Button The power button is located on the Membrane switch and lights up solid green when the Reader is powered on. Test Card Slot The epoc Reader has a card slot for inserting test cards. Within the card slot is a card entry switch, a barcode scanner, an electrical contact for contacting the test card sensory module upon insertion and a thermal subsystem for heating the cards measurement region to 37° C during the test. epoc Reader epoc_hardware_reader.mp3 The epoc® Reader is a simple-to-use raw signal acquisition peripheral.
