Select and connect the Reader by double-tapping the Reader icon. D. Carefully insert the Test Card into the Reader with the blue triangle facing up after the Reader configures. Entering Patient ID: A. Scan or enter Patient ID by selecting the Patient Information Tab on the Reader screen.The Host will produce an audible beep and the screen will read “Inject Sample” when ready. B. Press the luer tip of the syringe into the Sample Entry Port of the test card. Rotate the syringe ¼ turn to ensure a proper seal. C. Holding the syringe vertically between the thumb and finger tips, inject the sample by using the index finger of the free hand to depress the Syringe Plunger with one smooth, complete motion. The Host will beep when enough sample has been injected into the Test Card. D. The Reader automatically analyzes the sample. Results are shown in approximately 30 seconds. E. Tap tabs to view Chem+ or Meta+. F. Select the Save button to save the information.
